In the article it says that Cesc put 3 mil of his own into the possible transfer, which is not good for us imo. Just more confirmation that he wants to be there, and thats all.

I have no idea. There aren't many WC midfielders available at the moment that I could think of. But if you consider his and Berlusconi's statements one year ago about Ibrahimovic, they were pretty much the same. So, I suppose he's only bluffing.

exactly what i'm thinking

Not a fan of Hamsik either, would rather we kept Cassano too.

Cassano is a better player right now, but Hamsik is a high quality young player at a position we need. I think he would be more valuable because of this. Hamsik's potential is great but more than that is that we need someone of his qualities more than we need Cassano. I think it would be a fine deal for us despite my love for Cassano. I hope to find a way to get him without Antonio leaving though

I picked Fantantonio although on second thought while he is my fav badboy of the group, I would say that for the best Milan bad boy has to be Gattuso. He has done more **** as a member of the team and so my vote in retrospect should go to him

LA Galaxy preparing to offer 14 million per season to Totti to come to MLS according to goal.com.

I am not saying its gonna happen (there is no way in my mind) but interesting to see that headline and that is a lot of money... Roma for life until a fat contract comes along? who knows, but the bigger news imo is that with David Beckham, Donovan, and Juan Pablo Angel on the payroll the Galaxy can afford to make that offer. MLS gaining some spending power is good news

Ya I heard about that last year, but it got cancelled because both Gerrard and Rooney pulled out after England lost in the World Cup. They dropped out b/c they were embarrassed from their performance in South Africa I believe and it threw the whole thing out of whack so they cancelled it.

Agreed again, but I actually have grown to like the home ones quite a bit. Not sure I like the collar, but other then that I think they look classy (something every Milan kit should be)

Why would Fiorentina want Cassano? If they are getting rid of Gilardino then that would leave them with Cassano and Jovetic up front and neither is a real prima punta at all. I don't see the logic when they have other more pressing holes to fill. Despite the obvious talent of those 2, I just don't think a pairing of Cassano and Jovetic would ideal for either

Anyone watching the Italy-Ireland game?

Rossi is looking fantastic, and overall Italia is playing the better game but Ireland did score a very good goal that the keeper really couldn't be given too much fault for. The second half is about to start, Italy down 1-0, I think they can pull off a win tho still

now that that's clear, what do you guys think of what I said about switching Pirlo and Aquilani though?

Horrible? Come on, even the most skeptical football fan out there can't deny that he's improved hugely this season, and that he has great margins of further improvement. He's the future of our and Italy's right-back.

I mean having no Abate on the squad is horrible, sorry I should have phrased it better. I want him to be on the national side

No Abate is horrible but I want to talk about midfield for a second.

I did not like Aquilani in the trequarista role last time we put him there, he just didn't look great at all. With 5 points and a game in hand, I wonder why not see if Pirlo is up to trying it out again? Literally switch their spots and we'd have Aquilani on the side with pirlo behind the strikers. thats where aqua is natural and while Pirlo has been playing in front of the Defense for a while now, to cover up for his pace along the edge and defensive weakness placing him back where he started behind the strikers I think would be a good move. Gives us a little bit more strength in the midfield, plus that creativity of Pirlo right there for Rossi to jump on.

Following that line of thinking, we would be able to pair Pazzini with Rossi up front and let Pirlo provide the magic instead of Cassano. Putting in an prima punta would be a big benefit. Personally I find this more appealing, and then Pirlo can leave after an hour for Cassano/Sebastian/Motta depending on what is needed at the time. Only Motta would be uncomfortable there but switching Aquilani with him could happen at that point. I think that this makes plenty of sense personally, what do you guys think?
