QUOTE (Tennie @ Dec 15 2008, 04:18 PM) There's nothing BUT criticism here, that's my point. Except, of course, for the 3 brazilians. And I think there's a good deal of venom in some of what is said. With respect, you haven't been here quite as long as I have to see this, and I really do not appreciate the condescending attitude. There's no condescending attitude at all. You'd just rather have a forum where everybody praises the club and players regardless of what is going on. There is criticism because performances have been poor. I've seen it, you've seen it, we've all seen it. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just this season, but as I have said, it is a continuation from last year. |

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Dec 15 2008, 03:00 PM) I don't agree. Galliani maybe a spin-doctor and a guy always walking around the truth, but he isn't that kind of a coward. If we fail, he'll say we failed.
If Ancelotti has to go, we need to find/wait for a good alternative. You know full well the objective will be the UEFA Cup. And you'll see as much in the line-up's Ancelotti sends out. And I'm not saying he has to go, but he is in big danger of getting the sack. |

QUOTE (CrazyMilanFan @ Dec 11 2008, 10:36 PM) well if young players are not ready for milan while old are not likd by anyone i dont think any clubs likes to sell player at there peak age so we have to go for young players if not then not criticize whenn we get 30 plus players this is all my opanion Young players are ready for Milan, but not this one. There are many young players around who have proved themselves in their domestic league over a period of time, and indeed at a higher level. Dessena isn't one of them yet. |

QUOTE (Habitant @ Dec 11 2008, 06:39 PM) all i know is dessenas current play is much better than emo's, and he was sold for 4m E to samp...
we could have easily snatched him for a similar fee and his wages arent as high as emerson's.
another instance when we could have picked up local talent and for cheap. He's not ready for Milan yet. Needs to continue in the same vein for the rest of the season, and then do it again next season before he's even considered. |

QUOTE (Tennie @ Dec 10 2008, 03:42 AM) Jack, my eyes are still bleeding from that Armani underwear ad on the side of a building in the Brera district I saw this August as I walked to Sweet Years to get dst his Maldini postcard. Please don't make me hurt you. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) As for Rino, the exam in Belgium will show whether or not surgery is necessary. If it is, I suspect the surgery will take place very soon, perhaps even tomorrow. Given Gattuso's frighteningly fast recovery time, the best optimistic guess for a return is sometime in the spring. Worst case? September. Worst case would be around October, but that's only if surgery is needed, and if it's a complete tear. |

QUOTE (Tennie @ Dec 10 2008, 11:47 AM) Oops, sorry. In this context, Zebras = Juve. I'd still let them have Gallas. Ah OK. I'd let them have him too. There are defenders who are just as good, but younger, available. |

I'd love to see Inter win it. I'm right behind all the Italian sides in the CL. It's just embarrassing how they seem to be our best hope, and yet come 2nd in that easy group.
2nd place sides: Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid (barring a massive ****-up from Juventus), Lyon/Bayern Munich.
Not all of them obviously, but that's a pretty tough set of teams. Could possibly (hopefully) add Arsenal to that if they lose in Portugal tomorrow night.
Compared this with the 1st teams: Roma, Liverpool, Barcelona, Man Utd (highly likely), Juventus, Bayern/Lyon.
Doesn't appear to be much of an advantage finishing 1st, other than playing the second leg at home (a debatable advantage too). |
