Milan chief Adriano Galliani insists “Kaka will not return and from Tuesday we’ll think about contract renewals.”

There have been numerous reports that the Rossoneri want to bring Kaka back from Real Madrid, including statements from Galliani and President Silvio Berlusconi.

“Unfortunately Kaka will not return and the reasons are economic ones,” Vice-President Galliani told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Roma will probably buy out Marco Borriello, while there’s absolutely no truth in talks for Cristiano Ronaldo or Michael Essien.

“Mario Balotelli to Milan? I doubt it.”

The Rossoneri have more pressing problems to deal with, as several stars – including Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta, Pippo Inzaghi and captain Massimo Ambrosini – have contracts that expire next month.

“On Monday I am in a Lega Calcio meeting, so from Tuesday I’ll start speaking to the players about contract renewals.

“When a deal expires, everyone has to agree on the next course of action. We will look at the problem and see what happens.”

Kevin-Prince Boateng is still technically only on loan from Genoa and Galliani referred to his Michael Jackson-style Moonwalk performance during the Scudetto celebrations.

“I hope Genoa President Enrico Preziosi doesn’t raise the price-tag after seeing how he can dance!

“As well as a football player, he’s a born showman.”

He doubts Balotelli.. God help us!! as much as he has talent, I don't want him anywhere near Milan for now.

Well, that's a good thing then, no?

Zeddie probably means Galliani always denies the truth.

About the renewals - I'm a bit ambivalent. As far as I see it, Milan should start rebuilding - meaning we need to free some space up for new signings. But then, I'm not sure the likes of Ambro or Pirlo would/will be replaced with the proper players. I remember the Oli for Sheva story.

I still think all of our vets can contribute - some more, some less. Some one the field, some in the locker room. I'd rather we part with players who are neither prospects like Abate nor veterans like Ambro - meaning Bonera, Antonini, Jankulovski and Amelia.

What Fillipo said.

Galliani has been asked about Balotelli a couple of times over the past season, but he's never made me feel like we won't be signing him. when he says he doubts it, you know something is going on.

It also could be a smokescreen about Kaka. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring him back eventually.
Fillipo Simone
Could be - they didn't exclude the transfer, just said his wages are unrealistically - and maybe sent a signal that way. I doubt Kaka would do any good in EPL. It's a tough league, not like it used to be, but still, for a player plagued with injuries it's not exactly paradise.

If Galliani is saying Kaka's not coming back, I guess he'll be the first signing we'll make...

+1

That is of course if the members of the old guard will accept a lesser on field role, but I strongly believe their influence in the locker room is still much needed.

I think Pippo will accept it. So will Nesta - a lesser role that is. Not sure of Rino, Ambro, Pirlo and Zee.
