Milan striker Alexandre Pato says he still hears from Leonardo even after his decision to take charge of rivals Inter.

The Brazilian pair have a strong relationship. Leonardo was instrumental in bringing Pato to Italy from Internacional in 2007.

Speaking ahead of the Derby della Madonnina, Pato said: “There are still many days left until April 2. The ankle is better. I hope to play against Inter.

“The fans should be calm. We are still top of the League ahead of Inter.

“I still hear from Leonardo. He was very important for me and we have stayed in touch.”
