Rossoneri to reel in Rinaudo?
Tuesday 23 December, 2008
Milan may look to Napoli defender Leandro Rinaudo as they try to solve their defensive problem.
Although the Diavolo demolished Udinese 5-1 in their final game of 2008 to go into the winter break on a high, things are far from perfect for the red and black half of Italy's fashion capital.
The Rossoneri's ageing defence has been hit by injuries this term and has been shipping more goals than expected.
Milan have already secured the services of Brazilian starlet Thiago Silva from Fluminense, but he won't be able to play until next season as Carlo Ancelotti's squad already has a full quota of non-EU players.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, the immediate solution to Milan's defensive frailties is Napoli man Rinaudo.
The paper reports that Milan and Napoli began negotiations at the Lega Calcio meeting yesterday with an eye to concrete discussions over the next fortnight.
Despite being rated highly by many experts, Rinaudo hasn't been a regular starter at the Stadio San Paolo and is said to be unsettled in Naples.
However, Milan are also being tipped to move for Palermo star Moris Carrozzieri, who has declared that he is keen on the transfer
