Galliani gives hitman update Monday 23 June, 2008

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has given an honest appraisal of the strikers the Rossoneri have been linked with in the summer market.
The Diavolo need a new hitman to add to Brazilian teen star Alexandre Pato and Marco Borriello, who has been brought back from Genoa.
Galliani has stressed that Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor is the only name left on the shopping list, but that hasn’t stopped a host of other names being linked to San Siro.
“Some people are talking about Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, but I’m not sure that he’s better than Borriello,†Galliani explained.“ WOW !!! Galliani
Karim Benzema costs too much and Lyon aren’t selling him. There has been no approach for Adrian Mutu and he is a second striker – we have Pato for that position.
“We haven’t inquired about Antonio Cassano but like Mutu he is a second striker anyway.
“Chelsea say that Didier Drogba isn’t for sale and then there’s Samuel Eto’o for whom Barcelona are asking too much and his wages are far too large – they aren’t compatible with an Italian club.â€
Galliani concluded by discussing the impossibility of signing Barcelona’s Brazilian star Ronaldinho.
“It’s not true that we are considering a bid for him,†he said. “He has a ridiculous offer from England and it cannot be matched.â€
