Unbelievable naivety from you two, particularly X.
Results pre-lockdown:
WDLDWDL
Two wins.
Post lock down:
Do I even need to spell it out?
Are you seriously telling me the team has just got an identity plucked out of thin air now? That everything that wasn't working in March is now miraculously clicking after the squad spent 3 months in their bedrooms playing FIFA?
Or is it more likely the pressure being off made a huge difference.
I admit the football is good, the results are good, and I attributed a lot of that to Ibra, but a huge chunk is thanks to no fans and no pressure.
These players are mostly bottlers.
This lockdown affected different teams in different ways. And Milan, with low expectations on them, have thrived under it.
When suddenly the expectations go higher, and it really means something, we won't be winning like this again.
I want to be wrong, and I want you both to frame and quote this in December if this squad is sailing high in the league.
But if it's not, I don't want any 'yeah but'.

I did not deny that it factored into the good performances.
But, and it's a big but. You cannot deny the football or the fitness level which have improved exponentially. I don't think this has anything to do with the stadium being empty, and more to do with the work the players and Pioli are putting in.
We haven't looked this physically fit or cohesive in years. We're outrunning teams in pretty much all the games we've played and considering the schedule, this was not an easy task.
It's easy to attribute this all to having no pressure but I just don't think that's entirely true. This just feels different to when we went on good runs under Rino or Montella or any of the other coaches we've had in recent years.
Obviously we could be wrong and we could bottle it in the first game of next season. But I don't think that will be the case.
