A good coach is someone that can improvise in case of emergency, i.e. Ancelotti playing Serginho as lefback when there was no-one available, or playing the Christmas tree formation when the situation required so. A n00b coach is someone who stays true to his ideas in case of emergency even if they don't make any sense, i.e. Leonardo playing Huntelaar as winger or Allegri playing Emanuelson as trequartista.

Yes, I agree about the coach part. One suggestion - Nocerino used to play the fullback position, right? I'd give it a try.

We're short on midfielders too. I agree with X-Offender, a little rotation wouldn't do bad to the team. I'm not sure how capabale are Nocerino and Muntari as defansive midfielders, but I don't think we have a lot of options.
