Apperantly we could be facing a major situation in terms of available players for this game. Cassano sick, Boateng with a knock, Pippo and El Shaa not in the list, Seedorf might be still out.
We'll have to wait and see, but we could be looking at Urby behind the strikers for this one if Boateng and Cassano are not fit

Called up:
GOALKEEPERS – Abbiati, Amelia, Roma.
DEFENDERS – Abate, Bonera, De Sciglio, Nesta, Taiwo, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Yepes.
MIDFIELDERS – Ambrosini, Aquilani, Boateng, Emanuelson, Nocerino, Seedorf.
STRIKERS – Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Ganz.
Allegri: "Ambrosini will play from the start tomorrow. Van Bommel needs to rest, which is why I haven't selected him for this match."

Bleh, at least we're facing a terrible team and he should (used loosely) be able to handle it
From that list it has to be
Abate--Thiago--Yepes--Taiwo
Aqui--Ambro--Nocerino
Boateng
Ibra-Robs
Pretty sure Allegri would go with this although I'd like to see Boateng in the midfield 3 and Seedorf starting as well. Really go for an attacking line-up that can easily control the tempo and possession. But we all know Allegri will choose the rough and tumble line-up against a 3rd rate team

I'm hopping for it. But if he does, it would be in place of Aqui and not Noceino, which would make sense seeing as an extra DM is an absolute waste in this one

IF Seedorf starts, I think as AM, because I don't think Boateng can start this one.

Abbiati
Abate - Nesta - Yepes - Taiwo
Aquilani - Ambro - Urby
Seedorf
Robi - Ibra

So I was just reading the stats page kurt updates (thanks for that btw kurt
). And these guys are on a yellow
- Nesta, Nocerino, Van Bommel
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean that another yellow for those guys would equal a suspension? And guess who we play next in the CL after BATE...
I say none of those should be played, especially not Nesta, VB we already know won't be playing, but I really don't want to see Nesta get suspended for the Barca game, neither Nocerino because we'll need him big time as well for that one

Wonder why he would risk losing Nesta for Barca over this game. We can easily make it with Yepes next to Thiago

Is Aqua even an average player? I consider Taiwo average for Milan. Aqua? What has he been doing since joining us? I can almost predict what he is going to do every time he gets the ball... Make a long pass to the opposing team and then act like nothing bad just happened and jug around... I guess this is why no one wanted him and we were able to get him for 20 bucks...

Gee, these sure are harsh words for someone who has the 2nd highest assist count in the league.
I mean, Aquilani directly resulted in 5 goals, and only Cassano has two more. Sure, you can say that Cassano is in a bit of a "Goldrush Zone" with the way everything passes through him, but Aquman can still cut it.
More than a certain someone, I may add, who is injured currently.
I'll take an average player with 5 assists.

Zed.D
Nov 1 2011, 07:01 PM
I don't know why Fillipo says Aquilani is painfully mediocre and [our] Max thinks he's below average. he's as much guilty of making sloppy passes as pretty much every one else in our team bar the CBs. at least he makes up for it by making a lot of assists. what do you guys expect from him, to play like Zidane or Xavi?
acid911
Nov 1 2011, 07:03 PM
I don't know man, teams are teams.
You can not create assists against smaller team, and bam! A team like Milan comes out with a draw or a loss. It's that fickle. I mean, sure bigger tests will come and he may not turn out to be a player who we can always count on, but Aquilani is not a bad player to have. By any means.
The only bad thing in all of this is if the B&G think that having a player of his calibre is enough to conquer the world.
