So, let's see what this one will bring us. Han's run was quite impressiv though.

Protagonist
Brescia are recently back from Serie B, as such we have always faced difficulty against these sides. Keeping in mind that they lie 17th on the Serie A standings; with 3 wins, 3 draws and 8 defeats.

We are without a doubt favorites and it should be an easy 3-points due to the opponent's current league table standing and the fact that we are more superior in terms of quality. However, there is a slight chance that this might end in a draw if Brescia treats this fixture as if it was a final.

In conclusion, I hope we don't slip up, considering last weekends results played to our favor, I doubt the same will happen this time around.

Milan 3 - 1 Brescia

We should win this game at San Siro and comfortably too. Although we should not underestimate Brescia, a win in this game is a great opportunity to open the gap against our closest rivals. Since Lazio will be hosting Inter next, either of them will lose points which could be good for us (but only if we win). On the other hand, Napoli will host Palermo, meaning either of them will lose points as well. My hope is that Catania can get something out of the game against Juventus.

Good news is Pirlo and Antonini are back and could well play against Brescia.
X-Offender
Can't wait for Pirlo to get back!!!

Bad as in 2 points loss or 3? biggrin.gif tongue.gif Brescia is one of my favorite clubs, but I'm sure we'll do just fine!

I'm hoping to see ronaldinho play at least 30 minutes in this one but it won't happen. Resting seedorf or Ibra isn't something that allegri will even consider sadly.

Seedorf was completely out of it against Samp, he can't continue to play so much
X-Offender
But now that he's had a week of rest, it should be fine. Also, it looks like next week won't be played because of the strike, so...
William405
Pirlo should be tried out in the AM position,so seedorf shouldn't be close to the starting lineup, nuff Said ;p

True, Pirlo should be given a chance, but I'm pretty sure he'll fail cause the guy has zero acceleration, which for an AM is essential.

Seedorf has an excellent acceleration for his age. But of course, we need someone better in that department. Seedorf can't be our long-term solution.
Dracoris
Ronnie in for Seedorf this week BEFORE the 90' would be excellent.

Ok,I'm talking currently.I don't doubt Seedorf's speed when he was young. If now he would have the same speed,he'd still gas after two runs or so.Pirlo is better than Seedorf although I doubt he's by miles slower than him so why not try him out.Our best solution for the Am without buying someone is using Merkel or any youngster who is pacy and has a decent set of skills.

Is that seriously going to go down??

As for Seedorf, his performances have been going down hill with every match he's played, he's just not cut out for playing the full 90 every week, and to topthat off he's made to play every 3 days. We'll see how he does this week, Brescia should be easier then Samp, but if he's not cutting it he has no business staying on the pitch

Also when you talk about acceleration, what kind are you talking about, Seedorf never even had that in his hey days, he's always been a slow player, and he certainly doesn't have that now when he can barely run for longer then 60 minutes at a given time.

If he was playing every week, it'd be alright. But I agree, every 3 days puts a lot of strain on him.

Acceleration han, of course he has it. For example, consider the chance he had against Sampdoria where Ambro put him in front of the goalie. He was able to slip through Samp's defense and get into shooting position. You think Pirlo could have made such a movement? I highly doubt so.

Imo that has more to do with how Seedorf reads the game as opposed to Pirlo, It's not like he was showing impressive acceleration there, he just got in behind his marker due to his intelligent play, not through sheer speed.

Imo neither Seedorf nor Pirlo are fast players that can accelerate, ala Kaka, or Pato for example, never could and never will be able to.
servbot
lol...in that Seedorf highlight it appears more that the defender is slowing down, than Seedorf speeding up.
Dracoris
X you might be alone in arguing in favor of Seedorf having anything related to speed smile.gif
samira
A.S. Roma wingback John Arne Riise could miss the match against Milan as he's out for 15 days due to injury.
Glad that Pirlo is back!

Hey, I'm not saying Seedorf is fast, just arguing that he has the better atributes to play as trequartista, compared to Pirlo that is.
William405
Well,You've mention the speed factor so far,I guess more is coming.Right tongue.gif

Inter losing MUAHAHA.

Called up are: Abbiati, Amelia; Antonini, Bonera, Nesta, Papastathopoulos, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Yepes, Abate; Ambrosini, Boateng, Flamini, Gattuso, Merkel (52), Pirlo, Seedorf; Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Ronaldinho.

Unavailable players: Inzaghi, Pato.
Not called up: Jankulovski, Montelongo, Oddo, Onyewu, Strasser, Oduamadi.

Gazzetta's probably line up:
Abbiati
Abate - Nesta - Thiago Silva - Antonini
Gattuso - Pirlo - Flamini
Seedorf
Ibrahimovic - Robinho
han2503
Lol^^^^

No Ambro to play Gattuso? Allegri just keeps getting funnier
William405
I agree with the whole lineup, but Gattuso playing.Ambrosini is miles better it's obvious.

Also,Dinho should play this match. It's against Brescia a small team and I'm pretty sure he's upset about the whole benching thing so he will be really determined, unlike Seedorf.

Also,I hope Antonini+Abate works.
samira
Former Milan player David Beckham will be in attendance at the San Siro for the game against Brescia. And why did Allegri call up Merkel and do not put him in the bench?

It's no Ambrosini to play Pirlo. Though you could bench Gattuso to play both Ambrosini and Pirlo.

If Merkel won't be on the bench, then that's a shame yes. We will have three defenders on the bench instead again... rolleyes.gif
d'Arc.LP
Allegri said that Pirlo will play from the first minute. He also said that Ambrosini can play in Pirlos position so in my opinion we'll play like this :

Abbiati
Abate - Nesta - Thiago Silva - Antonini
Gattuso - Ambrosini - Flamini
Pirlo
Ibrahimovic - Robinho

Pirlo needs to be in that midfield, otherwise we'll get stuck playing the long ball once again, simply because our midfield is inept at passing the ball rolleyes.gif

Rino needs to be out, simple. He's not good enough. Pirlo is our only creative CM and we need him in, while Flamini and Ambro have been too good to bench in order to play Rino

Totally agree , seedorf will be so uninterested today if he plays , we have seen this a million times so far and Ronnie should get a chance and start today so he can prove he still can make very good things for milan!
RinoIlCapitano
Starting 11 considering milannews:

Abiati - Abate, Nesta, Thiago, Antonini - Ambro, Gatuso, KPB, pirlo as trequartista - Binho, Ibra

samira
TMW are reporting that Milan will start Gattuso-Ambrosini-Boateng in midfield and Pirlo will be the trequartista.
