Milan Are Brilliant
AC Milan have turned down a "monster offer" from an unnamed English club for teenage striker Alexandre Pato.

The 19-year-old Brazilian had been linked with a move to Chelsea, but the Italian side's vice president Adriano Galliani insists Pato is going nowhere.

He told the club's website: "The only offer that arrived was a monster offer from England, but there were and are no doubts regarding his future.

"Anyway, no-one should worry because he is under contract to June 2012."

Pato was linked to Chelsea after Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti moved to Stamford Bridge, but Galliani is keen to tie the forward into a longer deal at the San Siro after the player this week confirmed his desire to stay in Italy.

"I am absolutely delighted by Pato's comments," Galliani continued.

"I continue believe that there isn't another player in the world that is as strong as him of his age.

"He will get a contract extension."

Pato finished last season as Milan's second highest scorer behind Kaka in Serie A with 15 goals in 36 appearances.

That could very well have happened but I cannot trust in anything that comes out of Galliani's mouth.

Unless Italian football goes back where it belongs in those couple of years.

Doubt that will happen concidering all the big heads of Italian football do not want to admit to their failures and are always reluctant to change.

Just look at the National Team, that's all you have to do in order to see how coaches, owners and the federation won't accept that this is not the 90s anymore and that things finally have to change...
