So this is not who is your favorite, but who in your opinion has been the best goalkeeper in Serie A so far.
Thanks to il_diavolo_mtl for the idea.

Julio Cesar for me. Probably #2 in the World to Casillas, or dare I say maybe even #1 at the moment?
KillerMax
Mar 21 2009, 07:38 PM
I choose Júlio César because he has been amazingly consistent in saving his team's @ss. He and Ibrahimovic have played a huge part in Inter's success so far and this season has been nothing but a continuation of past two seasons.

Yeah cesar is amazing. He is probably the best keeper in the world right now.

Casillas is nowhere near César this season. No one is. From what I've seen in European football this season he has been the only outstanding goalie.

Cesar, without a doubt.

From the games i've seen of Amelia(which is only like a handful lol..) he has easily been as good as Buffon this season.
Still can't believe we didn't sign him.

Allow me to explain the statement i made earlier aboout being "mascara-ed".
Mascara has made a reputation of making crazy goals from rediculous distances and he has done it quite alot this year, one of the prayer-shots where on amelia in the 4-1 catania beating of palermo

Couldn't agree. I'd say there actually isn't a No.1 this season (in Europe). And Van der Sar>Chech, all the time IMO.
kurtsimonw
Mar 29 2009, 02:03 PM
van der Sr is better than Cech, but neither are even in the top 5 in the Premier League in my opinion, just have the luxury of having the leagues top 2 defenses in front of them.
Reina, Jaaskelainen, Friedel, Given & then 5th is close between a few
In the World, I'd say..
#1 Julio Cesar
#2 Iker Casillas
#3 Gigi Buffon
MizNelson
Mar 29 2009, 06:46 PM
Cech has gone downhill since the head injury. He's not even among the top 3.
Not too long ago, the world's three best keepers were Buffon, Dida and Cech. I guess we're currently witnessing a change of the guard.
