I understand your concerns regarding R10, but Arshavin could also not do wel, while R10 despite his obvious problems, is still world class and I think that he still wants to play at a high level and prove himself all over again. Milan will provide him with that challenge.

If he wasnted to go out drinking every night and play football when he felt like it he would have gone to America, but it has been made clear that he wants to play top flight football.

Galliani or Silvio or both...the fact they have come out and said there is no money puts are views into perspective concerning the type of player(s) we can expect this summer..a debt of £35m...no C.L football...all adds up to 1 thing limited signings or free transfers....like Galliani said the debt could be cleared with the transfer of either Kaka or Pirlo and no-one wants that surely!!

i'm not talking about the previous seasons as they have gone and nothing can be done about it i'm talking about the here and now and yes the lack of C.L will make a difference to the budget. We should always have expectations but perhaps they shouldn't be as they were before were no player was unreachable...apart from Chelsea this is a reflection of nearly all clubs. Galliani is the club spokesman and therefore reflects what the club is thinking/saying....for me it's a concern tinged with a bit of reality that times have changed and therefore so must our outlook and ambitions!

I think what I_R is trying to say is that it would have been a valid reason if Milan aren't buying this transfer window is because of no CL football, but since in the last 2 transfer windows Milan have made absolutely no good signings when Milan during these 2 transfer windows, had either just won the CL and made a huge ammount on that or sold Sheva in the other, the 'we aren't buying because we don't have CL footbal next season' basically just falls on deaf ears.

Had it been just this season and we had made decent purchases during the other 2 transfer windows then I think everyone would close their eyes and be more then happy with the transfers already made. But it is getting way to old and most fans are fed up with the excuses

i did see your point it was just that we've been over that ever since the beginning of last season when we all realized that we were going nowhere, i admit the last 2 markets have been a disaster but wining the C.L gave the board a ideal excuse not to invest in the time not that i'm making excuses for them!!
i reserve judgment on this campaign till it's over but i don't expect to much to happen

If they dont buy like they supose too , there must be a reason. And I doubt the reason is lack of intrest or love for the club , otherwise Kaka would have been sold when madrid offered 80mil for him .

True , this transfer campaign is a bit of a let down for me too, even tough there are still less then 2 months to go untill the end. After Galliani's words about the high prices , I dont have high hopes for a super transfer.

Thing is I'm not expecting a super transfer, I would rather see a better transfer strategy. I mean we started by saying we would sign R10, then we never wanted R10, and now we want him again!!!! We then wanted Eto'o but that didn't last long and then Adebayor was our main transfer target - until Arsenal wanted £35m . Why can't we just pick a player/s and do our best to sign him/them? I think this is what really irritates the fans.

And @ Mishie, it seems every season there seems to be another excuse not to strengthen. first we didn't want to break a winning team, then Calciopoli, then again we had our winning team(although everyone could see how old the players were getting), and now it's because of UEFA cup. I realise Galliani likes to lie, but after a while you just begin to doubt everything he says - including the Silvio puts millions into the team!

Adebayor is definately to over-priced.

As for R10, I'm a firm believer that Milan will get him back in shape and back to his best. He'll be preparing for the Olympics soon so he won't be totally out of shape for next season and with our medical staff and his determination (which I believe he still has) he's be back to at least 90% fitness for next season. Plus Milan is providing him with a new challeng, something Man City or a high paying US club can't offer him, and he's made it clear more then once that he's ready to take on the challenge being offered

Honestly, I'd welcome this act of desperation any given Sunday. We are in a position where we have to reinforce our squad any way possible. The talent and class is there for all to see (Maldini, Nesta, Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf, and whatnot). It all boils down to the fact that our players get exhausted half way through the season. Five or six players at least will always be welcome, so we can rotate them through.

They have to be half-decent players, young legs preferred. Not shot bullets like Emerson, Ba, Brocchi, Kalac, or Favalli. Second thing they don't have to be over-rated or over-priced. Guys like Adebayor don't fit the bill, but someone like R10 does - if he comes in at a good price. Of course, world class ones are always welcome, but we should look towards the next five years cycle, and build accordingly. If we manage to get a couple of scudettos, a Champions League or two, plus a random UEFA Cup, plus other titles, it will be a job well done for a club like Milan.

We've got three players up till now, I still believe three more are on the cards. Fingers crossed.

I meant Favalli, not Favester. Hehe. He's a decent option, still a few notches below his Inter days. But seriously, even I'm not sure he'll get much play time now that Zamborghini is here. Beside, these two look almost identical. Carbon copy, almost.

There isn't anyone like him. Can play on both sides, fast, strong and attack minded. We should have had him sooner (at the very least a couple of years back when he left Juve); could have saved us a whole bunch of points this last season. But I'm glad he'll be wearing our new jersey.

Zamborghini it is. My fav Juve player for some time now.

And yeah, it sure does seem like he's lost interest in the club. Particularly after the elections. Haven't heard any quotes or news conferences he used to have regarding Milan last year. Can't blame him, because he could very well be busy with lots of stuff, but at least take time out to tend to the club. That's the least he can do.

Whether Galliani or Bert stay I don't really care, they mean nothing to me. The only thing that matters is seeing a great game of football on a pitch in Euro cups and scudetto.

Why should I care what some rich Italian mafia figures say. If you died tomorrow Galliani and Silvio wouldn't give a thought hell to your well being so why should we be deeply moved by all this. At least Kaka can go out there on the pitch and put on a show, thats why I love the guy.

Of course we want them to open the wallet, but the truth is there are different fiscal laws, Italy is in a bad situation right now, and probably the last thing Silvio wants to show is how much he can splash money on a football team when the people of Italy are starving and have a bad economy. But at least give the people some good football to watch eh??
