Italy's Oddo faces knee surgery

Italy right-back Massimo Oddo will have an operation on his left knee on Wednesday but is expected to be back playing for AC Milan before the end of the season.
Procedure in Rome
The 31-year-old defender sustained the injury in the second half of Sunday's Serie A defeat by Atalanta BC, forcing him off just after the hour. Oddo underwent scans yesterday and the Rossoneri decided that surgery was the only option. The procedure will take place at the Villa Stuart Hospital in Rome.
