Milan reshuffle Champions list Friday 1 February, 2008

Milan have unveiled their new Champions League squad list, including youngsters Alexandre Pato and Alberto Paloschi.

Brazilian Pato was unavailable for the competition until January because he only turned 18 in September, after the deadline to hand in the list.

In order to make way for Pato, fellow Brazilian Serginho has been removed from the line-up and will take no further part in the Champions League this season.

Young midfielder Paloschi has replaced striker Willy Aubameyang in the B list of youth team players after his fine performances and two goals in the Coppa Italia.

The Rossoneri will face Arsenal in the second round later this month.

Why Serginho and keep Darmian?

Awww, why Sergio? Couldn't we take Brocchi out!

Glad to see they put Paloschi in. A bit surprised Sergio was bumped, though.

Serginho can play instead of Janku in serie A games , at least it gives Janku a rest !

Especially now that Genaro will be sidelined for 50 days, Brochi will be very important (even though his abilities are not that.... )

It doesn't make any difference since Sergio's almost always injured. you have to pave the way for younger someday...

No Serginho... He's probably dead, I can find no other logical explanation... I just wish we won't need a LB...

We have the Fav-joke and Kaladze. Well, if only Kaladze would play the LB and Simic the CB when Paolo isn't there. But no! It has to be Bonera-Nesta-Kaladzity-Fav..

why not Emerson?

Because of that UEFA "youth players in the team" rule, which will obligate the teams to have each year more players coming from youth team. And Ancelotti said that this decision was made in agreement with Sergio. Well I am sorry for Sergio, but the LB position is where we have the most players (Janku, Favalli and also Maldini and Kaladze can play there), so this was the position that had to cut one of the players. It was the only real choise (because of Sergio's health and because we couldn't cut players in midfield or attack).

Why are you guys sad/surprised about Serginho? He hardly plays anymore. It is the sensible thing to do.

If he's fit he can still play well, especially for one game. We will probably not need him but what if we do?

Paloschi is not going to play anyway... Maybe it's because of what Diavolo said.

No it's 100% what I said . Darmian and Paloschi have to be in the squad because of the rule, so Ancelotti had to choose between Å imič, Favalli, Brocchi and Serginho. All the rest I wrote in previous post (why he has chosen Sergio).
