Galliani: Don’t Put Too Much Pressure On Pato

Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani has urged the fans and media not to put too much pressure on teenage wonderkid Alexandre Pato.


The 18-year-old is set to make his long-awaited debut at the weekend against Napoli, and many believe he could be the player to provide the spark to turn around Milan’s poor domestic season.

”I always hear people associating Pato's name to a possible recovery by our squad in the league, but let's not forget Milan have won before without him,” Galliani stated.

“Pato is a great player, but let's not give him too much responsibility.

Galliani did admit that the Brazilian will provide the squad with more options, especially now that Ronaldo has returned to fitness too.

“Now finally we will have six forwards available and I don't know what to answer when someone asks me if Milan will play with one striker or two strikers with all these players available,” the transfer guru added.

“The way I see football, Milan have always played and will continue playing with three strikers. Considering the position they play in, I consider Seedorf and Kaká to be two strikers.

“I have very positive feelings after this week [training] in Dubai. We are certainly counting on getting back Ronaldo for the league."

R7, try to convince me that he is reacting to someone in the press that is commenting about our striking situation now. Clearly trying to allude people and fans to something that is clearly not there.

2 weeks ago we had 5 forwards according to him, now apperantly we have six. It seems like strikers might be hatching out of noware for us these days

What he said was that he 'considers Kaka and Seedorf to be attackers/forwards'. He considers them to be that, he doesn't say they are our strikers and we wont be needing anyone else

I must admit that I'm curious as to why Galliani considers Seedorf and Kaka to be forwards -- or, more properly, why he's taken to saying it publicly. There's got to be a reason for it.

Wasn't Galliani the one who started all the talk about how good Pato is and now he's saying don’t put too much pressure on Pato.

The funny thing about all of this is when pato will score , all these talks about galliani & the hyping stuff will end and before you know it you'll see forza galliani or forza Pato as signatures.

Must you be negative towards everything the man say or does ? I find it disturbing that so many people get their info on rumours and "quotes" .

p.s. I personally dont believe anything thats posted on the net. If I did , Milan should allready signed R10 , Beckam , Henry and we would have had a new stadium.

And Galliani has said more then once that we have 6 forwards, the porblem is most people only see 4 REAL forwards, the other 2 must be a figment of his imagination


I think we all know that reason is pretty clear. The reality is that he only started saying this when we had 2 available strikers for games, and he tried to save face with this comment


I'm pretty sure no one will do that, even if Pato turns out to be a mix between Van Basten and Ronaldo

Don't worry I have an Italian vocabulary that contains at most 20 words and most of them are swear words, so my letter will contain some of that for him as well
