A Galliani piace Mutu
12 10 2007
Adrian Mutu APRonaldo non si riprende. Occorre porre rimedio.

Short translation: Milan have a striker crisis (Pippo only good in CL, Gila unconvincing, Ronie always hurt, Pato an unknown and only in January). Mutu could be the solution to Milan's problems. The article states that Milan is preparing a 20 million + double Mutu's current wages offer.
So far this week, the Italian press have linked Milan with Frey, Ujfalusi, and now Mutu.
(I have no idea of the source).

You forgot Prandelli, Misha!

If we absolutely had to take someone from Fiorentina (not that they'd easily give anyone up), I'd take - in order - Montolivo, Frey, Prandelli, Mutu, Ujfalusi, Pazzini.

Mutu To Join Milan In June - Reports
Milan's new year resolution will be out with the old and in with the new as the Romanian may join them sooner rather than later.
In form Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu could be heading to Milan after his agent Alessandro Moggi was seen at the Rossoneri's headquarters in Via Turati on Tuesday afternoon.
Rossoneri chief Adriano Galliani had said earlier in the week that his club wouldn't be moving and shaking in the transfer market but the latest turn of events would suggest otherwise.
Sky Sport Italia claim the hit-man's agent met club directors with a view to begin talks over a possible deal which could see the prolific hit-man arrive in June.
Mutu has been outstanding so far this term and it seems as if Christmas will come late for the San Siro side.
The striker is likely to consider the move and reports suggest either Andriy Shevchenko or Marco Borriello will head the other way.
The Romanian was linked with Milan all summer but he was on the verge of joining Roma before the move collapsed at the last minute.
Everything seemed in place but the Viola owners scuppered the deal. They may now reconsider their options and a mega bid from the Diavolo could swing the scales in their favour.
The hit-man will be involved in Champions League action later tonight when his side lock horns with Lyon. A win is necessary if his side are to have any hope of getting into the next round.

Is he, now?

Bori or Andriy the other way? Hmh,..I'm not so sure. Prandelli won't let go of his favorite pet that easy. Also, Borriello is the closest thing to a consistent box-striker we had ever since Hernan Crespo. To trade him for "just another" SS is,...mhm,...unlike. Unless We're re-structuring the X-mass tree into a menora or something,..

here is the latest
Prior to the crucial Champions League tie with Lyon last night, Italian media reported that Adrian Mutu could be set to leave Fiorentina and complete a hat-trick of Serie A top dogs.
After moving to Inter in 2000 and his brief spell at Juventus in the 2005-06 season, it was rumoured the 29-year-old could make a return to Italy’s fashion capital to wear the Milan jersey next summer.
According to the reports, his representatives have already met with the Via Turati directors with a view to table a bid to secure his services.
But the Gigliati have rushed to issue a hands-off warning over their prized asset. “We did not sell him this summer, when we were in negotiations with Roma, and I don’t see why we should do it today, even more so considering we are in the middle of the Serie A campaign,” bellowed chief executive Sandro Mencucci last night.
“It’s just paper talk, as usual. How could we get rid of Adrian, particularly after watching him in action again?”
The Romanian international was on the cusp of becoming a Giallorosso in the summer, but the deal fell through at the 11th hour, as president Diego Della Valle vetoed the transfer.
