AC Milan - Milanfan.com > AC Milan > Other

Just thought I'd throw it up in the air, see what people thought.

Pretty sure we all agree the website is anything but adequate for european champions.

I think it's good to be honest! Apart from the translations I don't see anything that's wrong... other teams may have thousands of more menus and features but their all useless in my view and most of them are not even free!
Tennie
I'd like to actually be able to pick the seat I'll be sitting in at games, rather than a general section.

We're not the Dallas Cowboys!

What changes should be made?
A whole new one.

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv - http://www.manutd.com - http://www.arsenal.com.

Those are websites. Even the Inter and Juventus are way better than the acmilan.com.

I don't think there's many football sites out there that are any good. I've not seen a great one yet, least not ours.

As Porty said, we need a complete change.
fresh_prince7
Well the sites porty mentioned are far superior to ours, I'd be more than satisfied with a design like that.

Our page just looks so cheap and amateur. Just simple things like improving the text and layout would make a huge difference. I've even seen spelling errors on it, which is just absurd. The features are pretty good, only thing I'd suggest is maybe better player profiles and a gamecast feature with live text for the games. Other than that, just have to improve the general interface.

Should make a petition. tongue.gif

they could stop using babel fish to translate the italian site to english... look at the first article on the site, 2nd phrase, it says :"As per today 18th of july" sleep.gif ... thats pretty sad...

The ********* and Arsenal sites are pretty but that's what I was referring to when I talked of countless useless information! rolleyes.gif

Inter's!?? Come on, that's just frustration talking... Inter's site is one of the worst I've ever seen... it looks like Milan's from ten seasons ago... there are Greek teams that have better sites than that!!
I_Rossoneri
Our site is a vast improvement on the original goal.com version - that was appalling!

At least we can get live commentary in English, videos in English and the news section is good as well. I think it could be a little more user friendly though, as navigating it can be tricky.
Milan Are Brilliant
Do like Liverpool's design but as some others have said you are just bombarded with information and don't know where to click!

You can get videos in english.. players speaking in english? highlights in english?

The features the site has are fine, stoked with the live english commentary bit. The whole interface and running of it thats the problem. Its not particularly user friendly with things all over the place. Its a very average site, in my opinion it can't be taken serious and is mediocre.

But what are you gonna do.. tongue.gif

Hey if were not going to buy players.. how bout hiring a good web designer or IT specialist.. laugh.gif

Do you remember the original site? this current site is miles better IMO

I listened to the majority of games from the site last season, the videos are dubbed into English. I don't know any foreign football site where the players talk English.

And I said my only gripe was that it wasn't as user friendly as it could be!
redbabies
from all sites that I've seen Man Utd has the best one.

I like it coz first of all they put the latest news about their club very fast (not like Milan, first I see it on channel4 or goal.com than in acmilan.com)

Also they mention all players that are linked to United, they talk about every rumour. I like that.
I_Rossoneri
Surely you'd rather facts over rumours? ohmy.gif
redbabies
No, no...No way!

But, all I'm saying is that our site must be faster and inform us more about the possible transfers. When we sign a player the last place I see "Official: Milan signed..." is on acmilan.com wink.gif

IMO the site should be the place where you'll go and get informed about everything and not bother trying to look to 10 other sites to try to find out if any player is coming to Milan.

And about rumours, I said that I just would like to have a place on site where potential transfers might be discussed.
I_Rossoneri
ACMilan.com deals with facts though, if you want BS then try goal or Channel 4. There again if you just want ridiculous stories then try tribalfootball rolleyes.gif

IMO it's not professional to discuss our targets on the main site as said payers will be under contract plus the price will rise as other teams might show an interest.

Send them Mike, In return he can get Shevchenko to come on here for some abuse and Gilardino to come onto see who his main fans are tongue.gif
Tennie
Just back from holiday so this may be a bit late, but...

I'd really like them to get a competent English translator. The English versions of the articles are not well translated and the English is full of errors. The radio/voice game commentary is, oddly, quite good, though.
