Leandro Grimi deixou de ser hipótese para o Sporting. O jovem lateral esquerdo do AC Milan vinha sendo dado como provável reforço dos leões, mas acabou por decidir permanecer em Itália, como confessou ao Maisfutebol Ariedo Braida, director-geral dos rossoneri.

«Ficou hoje decidido que o futuro do Grimi passa por Itália. Ele vai continuar a jogar na Serie A, mas com a camisola do Siena, clube ao qual será emprestado», confienciou-nos Ariedo Braida. «Nós tínhamos apontado esta segunda-feira como o dia decisivo para esta negociação. O Sporting era uma forte possibilidade, tal como o Wolfsburgo da Alemanha, mas pensamos que o jogador vai dar-se bem no Siena. Vai viver numa cidade bonita e continuará perto de nós».

Recorde-se que Paulo Bento apenas conta com Ronny como lateral esquerdo de raiz, nesta altura. É certo que Marco Caneira desempenhou na época passada várias vezes esse lugar, com assinalável regularidade, mas ainda assim parece óbvia a necessidade de um homem mais para o lado esquerdo da defesa. O jovem André Marques, que rodou a temporada passada no Olivais e Moscavide, continua à espreita.

"It was decided today. He's going to be loaned to Siena, staying in Serie A.
"Sporting and Wolfsburg were other options but we preferred to loan him to Siena. Nice city and closer to us."

I think it's very unlikely that he is gonna be a starter there.

i reckon he will get started as they may have somthing on his contract saying he needs to be played an amount of times for the loan period , maybe im not sure it would be a waste if he was on the bench

in South America he was considered one of the talents of Latin football.

I hope he plays regularely for Siena and shows his qualities.

I think that's highly unlikely, and possibly illegal. You're not allowed to influence another clubs team selection.

it isnt really infullencing tongue.gif its good buisness tongue.gif nah ure probably right but it would good to seem him play 1st team for them when he does go on loan wouldnt it
