Alberto Gilardino's agent defended the player from criticisms on his performances.
A few days after the clearing up between Alberto Gilardino and the Milan management, Claudio Sclosa, one of the player's agents, came back on the thorny issue.
"There was a misunderstanding which was immediately cleared up", he explained on a radio interview, "as things stand now Milan are not selling him."
Many things have been said about Gilardino lately. Sclosa defended his client from the criticisms, considered excessive by the agent: "He has been criticised too much", he explained, "because he managed to reach double figures in spite of his injuries.
"The rumours of a deal with Inter or Juve are groundless, the situation is different now."
The Via Turati club are nevertheless on the hunt for reinforcements in the striker department and Gilardino could find himself competing with another big-name goalscorer in the near future. The player's agent leaves all doors open: "The club have said that for now he is not on the market. We shall see."
