Okay basically this july/august i'm going to france and milan. I was just wondering if you guys in milan know how i could possibly get pictures or even autographs of the players. Also would you guys recommend anywhere i should stay (hotel wise), and which side of town i should avoid (inter). Thank you again.

If i'm lucky i would like to buy a team picture and get it autographed to milanfan by paolo but that would be a dream

What dst said about autographs. I've never tried it but it seems an option. If that doesn't work, try the Milan Point shops for autographed jerseys.

As for hotels...how much are you willing to spend and where in the city do you want to stay? Milan is not a cheap place hotel-wise. I can make a couple of recommendations though.

If you want to stay downtown, there's Hotel Star in the ~100 euro range and Hotel Spadari and Hotel de la Ville in the ~200+ euro range. (De la Ville is around the corner from one of the Milan Point shops.) Hotel Oro Blu is closer to San Siro and quite affordable but it isn't /that/ close to the other touristy stuff.

One more note: if you're going in summer, be very sure you have air conditioning in your room. It gets hot!

A lot of the touristy things are within walking distance of the Duomo (cathedral). For nightlife, there are the Brera and Naviglio districts.

I was looking for a hotel that is close to san siro and milan shops etc. 80-120 euro would probably be good for me. Thanks.

San Siro and the Milan Point shops aren't all that close together, unfortunately. Not walking distance, but you can take the tram or subway. I'd suggest either Oro Blu or Hotel Star -- probably the latter, as it's right around the corner from one of the big pedestrian areas where there are restaurants and stores and it's quite near the Brera neighborhood where the nightclubs are. It's also a 5 minute walk from the smaller of the Milan Point shops. Oro Blu is closer to San Siro but really other than the stadium, there's not a whole lot going on in that part of town.

A few questions, what is the drinking age in milan also, i would rather get a hotel near shopping centres and tourist locations, i can take train to san siro.

Okay, i'm fluent in english and french(almost), will i survive I'm also bringing me 700 euro for 2 days in milan do you think that is going to be enough for visiting some sites, hotel and jersey +shoes etc. Also are fans allowed to take a tour of san siro or milanello? thanks alot tennie

As for languages, I think you should be all right. Just be polite. I believe that a lot of people in the tourist area speak/understand at least some english.

700 euros should be enough for two days if you stay at a place like Hotel Star and don't, for example, go on a shopping spree at Dolce & Gabbana. It should be plenty for hotel, footie gear, etc. And yes, there /are/ tours of San Siro. You even get to see the dressing room and go onto the pitch!

drinking age is 19 here. also are the sansiro tours on at any time during the day and if i could ask a really big favor, but do you know any sites that would have touring info in english. The San Siro has its own website, in English. Do a google search and you'll find it. Virtual Tourist has some basic information and I think Wikipedia has tourist information for Milan too. There are plenty of sites for general Milan tourist information. You might also want to consider picking up a travel guide for Milan and/or a map of the city. Milan is not a city on any sort of grid. There are a lot of little narrow windy streets that, on first appearance, half look more like alleys than actual streets. Despite the damage the city has taken in its history (from Barbarossa's sacking in the 11th century to bombing during World War II), the basic medieval geography hasn't changed a whole lot. The cathedral (Duomo) is the center of town and everything sort of radiates out from that. (sorry for the chattiness)

anyway, I know some people who just were standing aimlessly around @ milanello (before or after trainings), when cars drove up, and they got their autographs

hehe enjoy. too bad the rest of canada is so uptight about drinking. i mean i never remember having trouble getting into clubs or bars (montreal has lots of them). the legal age in quebec is 18 but they dont I.D. you unless you look 14-15.

Yeah especially saskatchewan. Super uptight. If the guy looks 30, they still id. It's quite sad.
