I'm new to this forum and am not sure if it's more of an English/American site.. or an Italian based one but I'll ask anyways.

I've loved Milan since as long as I can remember, My first team is Aston Villa since i've lived locally all my life but have been very fond of the red and black.

I've always wanted to go and see Milan play in the San Siro, but being English I'm a little wary, as there has been many instances of trouble between English and Italian fans.

I was wondering if any English guys out there have been to a Milan game, and had any trouble because of the language you spoke .. or thoroughly enjoyed the game and had a fantastic time..

Milan has very deep ties with the English and I wouldn't expect there to be any trouble at all if you went to a game. Since Milan is a popular destination for tourists, a high number of Italians there speak English anyway.

Book it! You won't regret it. Just don't forget to bring back some pictures

I don't think there will be any problem. You can find often fans from all over the world at Milan games.

I'm a girl and went by myself to a Milan match in November (the Messina game where San Paolo scored the winning goal!). My spoken Italian is mediocre at best, and I had absolutely no trouble going to/from the stadium by myself at night. Just be smart - as you would in any big city. San Siro is quite an experience, but I have to say that it was a grand time and the people at the stadium - steward and other fans - were perfectly charming. As long as you don't go in wearing an Inter jersey, you should be just fine.

Hi, there should not be any problem with Englisch. But only a reminder, you're a foreigner, therefore you should not expect everyone to speak Englisch to you. At least learn the Italian basic like , "thank you , where is the stadium , how much is this , you're welcome". If they see that you're trying, they will be very happy to speak English to you. But in general , Italians are nice people. So don't worry and have fun!

Thanks alot for the responses everyone! I'm pretty sure you've persuaded me to give it a go. I realised it's the Inter fans and players that are all hooligans, but I will not be having anything to do with them sorts

Does anybody know what kinda of prices the tickets cost for a Milan home game? I have no idea.
