Milan have a tradition of enjoying an attacking style so it comes as no surprise that Brazilian players figure in the side, with at least eleven wearing the Rossoneri shirt in the last decade

MILAN - If Milan were a thoroughbred then it could be calmly spoken about in terms of breeding but away from this metaphor the Rossoneri club has made it a priority to sign Brazilians as their foreign players. In the last decade, the number of Brazilians wearing the team shirt has doubled.

The domination of the South Americans in the Rossoneri blood is a strong component in enabling the club to have so much success. Leonardo, with his 12 league goals, was a decisive factor in the 1998-99 title. Dida made those saves in Manchester, Serginho and Rivaldo both scored in the Italian Cup final against Roma. Then, of course, Kakà was the the focal point in the 2003-04 title.

At present, Milan can call upon six Brazilians: Dida, Cafu, Serginho plus the three 'attacking' players Kakà, Ronaldo and Ricardo Oliveira, with a least two of these 'advanced' players always in the side as we saw in the last home game, against Livorno.

Since 1997, the names of Brazilians who have played for Milan is enough to comprise a whole team and what an exciting outfit that would be to watch:

LEONARDO - KAKA' - RIVALDO

Cause... they're brazilians?
