ITALIAN giants AC Milan want to snatch Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner in a sensational swoop on the Gunners.

Milan have put agents on the trail of the teenage Danish international hitman and could even try to buy him in the next transfer window to rock Arsene Wenger's long-term plans.

Bendtner is on loan with Championship leaders Birmingham for the season and lined up to be a future Arsenal star.

But now Milan have made their interest known to the Bendtner camp and could persuade him to move to Serie A, rather than wait for his chance at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners can hold on to Bendtner until his contract expires in 18 months, but then they risk losing him and being given minimal compensation.

If the ambitious 18-year-old wants to go, Arsenal could pick up a decent fee of around £6million in January.

He was impressive in under 21 euro. Could be a good purchase for the future.

Here is his bio from wiki.

Well we always say how much we want young players to come in Milan but this move looks more like a cheap one to me.

The kid might turn up to be the best player ever (...) I'm just questioning the motives behind Milan's interest in him...

In any case I hope whoever we get proves out to be a great player like our recent young signings (the frenchman and no22...).

Selling Bendtner would be foolish

With the January transfer looming, different rumours about Niklas Bendtner’s future are appearing every day. After yesterday’s claim of £8m interest from Lyon, today sees both Birmingham and AC Milan linked with £6m moves. Whilst all of those fees would be an awful lot of money for an as yet unproven talent, you do have to wonder just why we would choose to sell.

Bendtner has been superb at Birmingham, and upon his return will easily be above the likes of Lupoli, Aliadiere and Stokes in any potential pecking order. Unlike the previous three, he is already a full international and regular goalscorer in this country. I for one am very excited about what he might achieve in an Arsenal shirt, and would find his sale incredibly frustrating.

However, all this is dependent on him recieving first-team opportunities at some point down the line: he is a very ambitious boy, and he won’t come back here just to sit on the sidelines. Either way, I’m sure he’s going to be one hell of a player, and it’s nice to have some of Europe’s top clubs (and Birmingham) fighting it out for one of our lot.
