I am reasonably pleased with the signing. Although he is not getting any younger, Vieri still poses a threat due to his sheer power and persistence. I think he would make a great sub that could be used to 'charge' through a worn down defence in the last 20 or 30 minutes.
However, I would be disappointed if Gilardino doesn't arrive. In my opinion, him and Shevchenko would work brilliantly together, with Shevchenko playing the deeper, supporting role. The only problem this brings is that it will mean Milan carry 5 strikers, which is too many, especially when you consider how much we're paying them!

Gilardino in and Tomasson out would be my preference.
