Newcastle’s Emre Belozoglu is keen on a January return to Serie A, according to reports in the peninsula on Monday.

Emre joined the Toon Army in the summer of 2005 after bringing an end to his career with Internazionale.

However, it’s believed that the Turkish international is eyeing a move back to Italy given the problems his family have had settling in the North East of England.

Emre is understood to have already asked his agent, Ahmet Bulut, to contact a number of peninsula clubs to pinpoint any interested parties.

Milan and Palermo are two sides who could be keen in netting the player who cost the Magpies £4m at the request of former boss Graeme Souness.

Palermo could take advantage of their UEFA Cup meeting with Newcastle to start negotiations for the technically gifted individual.

Juventus may also be interested in the former Galatasaray star, even if their League position in January is likely to be a factor in talks.

This is not even a rumour but I felt like posting it. Obviously a "had-nothing-else-to-write-about-article" ... Milan and Pelrmo could be interested !!?? rolleyes.gif

Other than a hand-job (cleaning the stairway maybe, not what you thought ... ) I can't see him being of any use to us !!

Emre... good for a sub. He can do the "Brocchi job" better than the original one.

Emre staying put

Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder has denied claims that former Inter midfielder Belozoglu Emre is on his way out of the club, with Juventus and Bayern Munich both reportedly interested. “He is very much part of my plans,” said Roeder. “He's a hugely talented, technical player. A top side like Inter do not keep players for four seasons if they are not of Champions League standard. Look at how well he has done for the club since he has been here. He has made himself a favourite since day one.” It was claimed that Emre’s family were unhappy in England and wanted a return to Italy.
