This morning the newspapers are highlighting the vicious touchline row between Carlo Ancelotti and Clarence Seedorf.

The pitch side television cameras caught the exchange during yesterday’s 0-0 draw at Livorno and it comes just a few days after a similar argument with Kaka.

“You have to play the ball quickly. You’re too slow,” said the Coach from the side of the field.

Seedorf responded: “Focus on Coaching. You can’t just criticise. Instead of shouting, you might like to give us a hand from the bench.”
Ancelotti was furious and answered the Dutchman. “And you focus on playing. You’re lucky I’ve run out of substitutions, otherwise you’d be off.”

The 0-0 draw at the Stadio Armando Picchi was Milan’s first stalemate of the season, as they had won all three of their Serie A games and as many in the Champions League.

Nonetheless, reports of tension within the Rossoneri camp hit boiling point with this exchange and Ancelotti took his anger out on the media.

“I’m not angry about what happened, as it’s between Seedorf and me. I won’t explain it to you, otherwise it’ll get turned into a soap opera like the Kaka discussion. If I’m angry it’s because there’s always a camera under my nose and getting on my nerves.”

Milan travel to Lille for a Champions League Group H encounter on Tuesday and the referee will be Manuel Mejuto Gonzalez.

The Spaniard is familiar to the San Siro giants, having been in charge of the ill-fated Champions League Final with Liverpool in 2005.

Lille also struggled this weekend in their domestic League, as they were hammered 4-1 at leaders Olympique Lyon.

and this is what we cant afford. Although I dont really believe it!

The papers are just going to twist whatever was said, it was clear that Carlo was angry especially at Seedorf, but I doubt that that was what was really said.

Every coach you see gets angree at his players, especially the underperforming ones. If the papers want to talk about tension they should focus on Inter. As Ancelloti said, they are trying to turn something normal that happens frequently of the pitch into a soap opera.

I doubt it's true... but Seedorf's deserved that.
GULLIVER
I also doubt that this could happen. Though it is possible a lot. Anyways such things we don't need in Milan. And Seedorf needs to get back to the pre-season shape.

I doubt that Carlo said that to him, and Seedorf would say that in response.

Coaches shout at their players regularly during a game. As I said before the papers are just doing their job, making the story interesting, in order for it to sell, nothing new.
Nova
Well i can confirm carlo getting irritated by seedorf and he was pointing to the bench . But perhaps he was complaining about the seats being to hard to sit on rolleyes.gif

No, now I'm 100% sure. This is exactly what has been said, it was all revealed in 'Guida al Campionato' last night on Italia 1.

The hell he did ... he'd better play some football as he's been like this for more than two years now but I doubt he will !! All that potential is f@cking wasted ... why doesn't he stop if he's so full of it ??

Exactly true, and that is why I get so irritated with Seedorf. He always seems to slow the play down and is prone to losing possession. I really cannot understand why he got the no.10 shirt as he is no no.10, the shirt should have gone to Ricky. Now that Carlo has finally seen the light let's hope he plays Gourcuff on the left from now on cool.gif

I've been saying this for ages, I don't know why carlo hasn't seen noticed this before?

I agree. Gourcuff for Seedorf for the next 5 matches at least. biggrin.gif

I guess he had ... but who was going to play ... Ambro !!?? rolleyes.gif Only maybe Rui Costa but he wouldn't take a whole 90 minutes !! sad.gif

Now we have Yoann so goodbye Clarinchita !!!!
Portman
Seedorf's, as an old turtle, it's good to hold on the ball when you're winning. Not to run all over the pitch looking for the winning goal.

It's time for Yoann!

Hum... in that I've to disagree. He knows how to old the ball.
The problem is that he's not 27 anymore... (can't run, typical tortoise).

You think he didn't lose the ball on Saturday against Ascoli ?? I think this is his usual second half of the season game ... anyway I don't think it's his age, Nesta and Janku are of the same age but I don't consider them slow are anything !!!

When he holds on to it he holds it for too long though! For such a good player he is totally incosistant. If he could show some consistency then he would be a great, but for me he is just another good player.

QUOTE
There’s a simple choice here: you either behave according to accepted, agreed standards like in the non-camera-saturated past or you live with the fact that you’re going to be caught on tape and rewound over and over again.  The only winners are the TV companies that get to broadcast these spats over and over again or fans whose interest in the game is so shallow that it needs spicing up with some gossip.  Real football lovers want simple things: their Coach to coach, their players to play and all of them to come together for the good of the clubs we follow.

Goal

If I were to state a point on the issue it would be that !!!

Even I was furious at the team during and after the match .. Carlo pointed fingers and so did I .. as dst might remember tongue.gif ..

It's part of the game, and above all it's between them wink.gif
