Full Version: Ancelotti does it perfectly

Through the years, I'v never doubted Ancelotti. He was never a perfect coach, but he has certainly improved a lot and it is absolutely not true that he doesn't have fresh ideas for the team. I think he did his job greatly last season and if Juve hadn't cheated, we would have won the Scudetto by a big margin. And you all know what happened in the CL. Barca won the game in San Siro, we play 3 days after, they rest for a week, we lose 3-4 key players to injury, we play them, we have a perfectly normal goal disalowed and we are out.

But that's not what I wanna talk about in this topic. I wanna talk about how perfectly Ancelotti is using the rotation system and how well players have responded to it so far. He keeps every single player hungry enough to do well, and it's working wonders for us so far. I mean if we keep going like this, I don't see us getting tired by the end of season as much as last year. Last year Seedorf played in every single game if you remember and that made him tired and also affected his motivation to do well. But what happens this year? Gourcuff, the 20 year old gets the nod from Ancelotti over Seedorf in Milan's opening CL match and he does a perfect job and also scores. Then Carletto plays Seedorf the next game, and sure enough he scores to prove why he should be in the starting 11. This is perfect for a team. I see us achieving great things this season if we continue on like this. Forza Milan! king.gif

well I never had any problems with Ancelotti tactics-wise ... what I blame him for is about lack of power of persuasion; I blame him for the Depor and Instbul losses!!! Of course this is the man Carlo's fault not the coach Carlo's!!! wink.gif

But anyway ... we're doing great so far (I mean the results cause the defence IMO has been sh1tty!!!) and I hope we keep it that way (the results that is) !!! king.gif

Ditto.
Rossoneri7
Carlo has evolved w/ the team .. He has came a long way .. We should have had the past two scudetto's instead of Juve; I guess the calciopoli proved to us that Carlo was the perfect coach for us.

Plus, him rotating the squad is something we've always wanted to happen and I'm glade that it is happening often as often as the results r coming in devil.gif

Exactly, if it wheren't for Juve and the calciopoli, we would have set a club record for most points collected in one season (88) The current number of best ppoints collected in one season is 82, which was achieved in the 03/04 win, which was under Carlo.

And him rotating the squad SENSIBLY not like last season, when we had a big game, he would rest practically all of the first eleven in the game before the big one.

The reason why I don't blame him for that, is because no one really expected what happened to happen, it was unthinkable, especially in the final, Carlo got everything perfect to a T in that game. I don't think he expected a the team to self distruct like that, considering this is MILAN, which is a team filled with professionals, and that should know how to keep their composure in the big matches.

I don't think that when the half time wistle was blown and everyone went to the dressing room Carlo told the players "OK we have a 3 goal lead, you go out there and relax a bit, have some fun even". That night was just one of those unexplainable moments that no one could have seen coming

Aww grow up Pana biggrin.gif And whats should he have done ? Go in the dressing room at half time and tell them not to concede 3 goals ?? Dont you think he said that they should'nt think they allready won ?? Perhaps saying that made the players think they allready won it . I dont know and neither do you ...

But it's not fair blaiming Carlo for that cause that was one crazy night wich can be played 1000 times and Milan will win it 999 times.

it is my f@cking opinion man ... that he does not have the power to do it. He may have told them, so what!!?!?? In that occasion not only words matter but who says them plus how he does so ... I could have gone there and tell them myself ... what difference would it make ... He f@cking proved twice TO ME that he can't handle that kind of situations!!!!

In my mind he is the one to blame, there is no fairness or unfairness in that, it's just my opinion!!! smile.gif

What's with the "f@ck" ? smile.gif

He can't handle what situation ? That the players mess up ? Then it's the players fault ...

But if you're gonna blaim someone then blaim the whole team including Carlo. Not only him . But why am i even trying right wink.gif

Ps. Please don't make it sound like you can't have an oppinion here. Everyone does & can , but the second one says something bad about Milan according TO ME , i like to defend. And that is MY opinion. Thank you smile.gif

You mean you praise them for scoring 3 goals. Players are as much responsible for scoring and conceiding goals as is the coach. If you point your finger at one person, you are clearly not thinking right.

Yes tongue.gif

What he tried to say was that, if you are going to praise the players for scoring 3 in one half then you should also criticise for them conceeding another 3 in another half wink.gif

And let's PLS stop talking about THAT game. I can't even stand to look at the highlights of that game, it just looke like everything was going against us, the disallowed Sheva goal (that btw was NOT offside) the Gerrard DIVE, them missing the penalty and scrambling it back in. It just wasn't meant to be our night, that's all. And no matter how many more CLs we win I'm still going to want that one, because I know that we had our hands on it by half time.

I already read that!!!! But I don't get it ... I have a certain opinion about that game and people feel like defending Milan like I'm a Giuve fan attacking them ...

I just said I blame Carlo for the mentality he (did not) passed to the players!!! ... ofcourse it's their fault too since they were on the bloody field and ofcourse I'm not saying Carlo is useless!!!!

But it seems like I can't say that stuff here ... only "God was against us" is allowed!!! rolleyes.gif

For some reason dst, when it's you making comments like these you bring a smile to my face. biggrin.gif

And you are right, maybe Carlo didn't do what he was supposed to do during that half time break, which is to keep all the players fired up, but I really doubt that. As I said in some other post, I'm also sure that while in half time Carlo didn't say to the players "we're 3 nil up, you guys don't worry, this one is ours. You go out there have some fun, relax even".

Personally I don't blame Carlo for the Istanbul night, I mostly see that as the player's fault for losing their concentration, even if it was for a split second, you should never lose your concentration in big matches like that, it was practically suicidle to do that.

I do however fault him for the Deportivo game, that one yes, I think it was partly his fault, and still I would say that the players also had a part in that self implosion.

Istanbul cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Why !!! In my mind Milan dominated that game, we played 74 minutes plus extratime of that match our way, Liverfool only had 16 minutes .. I wouldn't have minded the loss if we played the 16 minutes that Liverfool had !!!

It was madness, it was unjust, it was cruel, it was the most painful game in our history of CL finals

sad.gif I want nothing more .. I don't care about the score, it was our match .. We were the better team !

I think that Ancelotti could have done some changes (DM instead of striker) after the goal or at least after a second goal as it was obvious that it's gonna be third. But he froze. (IMHO) But of course the players and the coach both are responsible because when a team lose a game , the whole team lose .

It was one of the worst nights of my life so far sad.gif mad.gif

I don't think Carlo had time to change up the players, those 3 goals went in, in a time span of 6 minutes, I don't think he really had time to warm up a defensive mid and bring him on.

That night was just STRANGE.
X-Offender
That is the strangest thing I've seen in my life so far. I'm talking about Sheva's occasion in the 119th minute. How, I mean how the f@cking f@ck...? He was just 1 meter from the goal, maybe less, and... he couldn't score. I.. I don't know, I become crazy when I think of it. It's something it will never slip from my mind. That's when I say God was against us that night, because no keeper could have stoped that ball. Not Dudek, not Buffon, not Dida, no-one. It was written Milan shouldn't have won that night, and when things were going like it wasn't planned, then something happend. Something far from normal. I guess even Liverpool's players couldn't believe the other day they actually won the Champions League.
