Gallas race hots up

The race to sign Chelsea’s want-away defender William Gallas is gathering pace as Milan and Arsenal prepare their bids. The Rossoneri are reportedly readying an offer of around £5m for the unsettled Frenchman, while Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has claimed negotiations are already underway. “Well, I made an offer for him and that’s as far as we are,” claimed Wenger. “It can happen, but as we said we are in no-man’s land. I am keen to resolve it, we are at the beginning of the season and you want a settled squad.” Milan are keen to add the France international to their defence after qualifying for the Champions League.

AC go for Gallas

By MARK IRWIN

AC MILAN are back in the hunt for Chelsea rebel William Gallas.

And that could wreck Ashley Cole’s dream move to Stamford Bridge.

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has been alerted to the fact that Chelsea are finally ready to part company with Gallas.

The Italians had a £4million bid for the French international defender rejected earlier this year. They also failed to get Gallas as part of Andriy Shevchenko’s £30.8m move from the San Siro and were told the player was not available at any price.

But Jose Mourinho has had a change of heart after Gallas made it clear that he is prepared to sit out the final year of his contract in the reserves. The signing of £6m Dutch international Khalid Boulahrouz has given the Blues boss the defensive cover he wants and Milan could land Gallas with a bid of more than £5m.

Mourinho cheekily offered Gallas to Arsenal in a straight swap for Cole this week.

That suggestion has been rejected out of hand by the Gunners but they are keen to take Gallas as part of any deal for Cole, with a cash adjustment of around £15m.

Again Oddo...hmmm, I doubt that the board will dare to pick Gallas and Oddo at the same time. That would be a bold step forward...But, does someone remember what Gallas saied about Italy befor the final? He was insulting, but don`t remember what exactly... huh.gif

Gallas and Torres/Tevez/The old Ronaldo please!

I honestly don't think he'll join us...but there is some hope left... But u guys are right, we'll need Oddo as well, to be honest we could be half a dozen defenders... sad.gif

yeah Oddo again smile.gif He could come for quite a few and he's deadly experienced. Unless you wanna go for lust Cicinho "The Defenseless" ...

Gallas said something yeah ... but it was "the heat of the moment" I guess. He'd good stuff about Milan before and he might even wanna take revenge of Materazzi ... wink.gif

is it another rumor again

what's the matter with Berlu?! we haven't actually bought a notable player yet (though I have high hopes for Gourcuff) but Don is driving me crazy! where the hell did all that money go?
Zed.D
we're not going to get Ronaldo or Gallas or Oddo or any other goddamn player. I guess we'll start as we are now.

Why do you think this would happen? No, we are going to make the signings...just be pacient. Anyway what turned out with the Ze Roberto signing? Why is he not at Milan by now?

Well Diarra I wanted him because I really like the Xtree and in oreder to free Pirlo so I don't care that much but Zambrotta would be perfect. He's the best LB there is ... and we so desperately need one sad.gif

I hope (sounds a bit malicious, but...) Zambotta will be enough of Spain after a year and eventually return to Italy/Milan.

there's no Iaquinta interest, I'm sure of that. He's lame but he's also young and not famous. Enough for Milan not to want him. wink.gif
Ronaldo will only come if Real accept a money offer and the 'Big' Surprise wants to come.Otherwise we'll probably end up with noone sad.gif

I'd welcome him but still ... that doesn't make it any easier, our managers should have sgned him when they could!!!

Yeah theres no way we're going to trade Kaka for Ronaldo, if thats what Calderon is implying.

A Gallas move would be a great transfer. I'd be satisfied.
Zed.D
Yeah... we're going to make signings. but who else is left out there. Zlatan? Crespo? Sobis? Nistelrooy?...
or maybe RONALDO! what a great player! I wish we could at least sign Adriano. not that fat rabbit. I do like Ronaldo but his time is almost over. it would be a waste of money to sign him.
Zed.D
great news! Kaladze may leave too. after Sheva... to Chelsea!

AC Milan are reportedly back in the hunt for Chelsea contract rebel William Gallas.
The Sun claims that the Serie A giants have been alerted that the Premiership champions could now be ready to sell the French international, who has told the Blues he will quit on a Bosman free transfer next summer.

Milan have been long-term admirers of Gallas, who infuriated Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho when he failed to return to pre-season training on time. They had a £4million bid rejected earlier this year and also tried to get the former Marseille man included in the deal that took Andriy Shevchenko to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have refused to consider a sale but the recent £6million capture of Dutch international Khalid Boulahrouz could change the situation.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed this week that he has bid for Gallas, who could still be included in a swap-plus-cash deal that would take England ace Ashley Cole to Stamford Bridge.

But Milan also appear to be in the hunt and that could appeal to Mourinho - who would then not be selling a talented defender to a Premiership title rival.

He was going there last year but then we convinced him and he stayed with us, extending his contract and becoming a very very good CB. He's definitely not leaving.
