Oddo wants Milan discount
Saturday 5 August, 2006

Massimo Oddo has not lost hope of joining Milan and has begged Lazio to lower their £8m asking price.

“Claudio Lotito is said to be asking for £8m to release me, but if Real Madrid paid just £5m for someone like Fabio Cannavaro, I don’t see why I should have such a price tag put on my head,” pointed out the full-back.

Oddo was one of Cannavaro’s World Cup winning teammates in Germany and has already set his sights on the club he wants to join this summer.

“Through thick and thin, I have always remained a Milan supporter,” admitted the 30-year-old. “On top of that, they are a world class club. It’s clearly obvious that I wouldn’t reject such an opportunity.”

The Rossoneri will begin the 2006-07 campaign with an eight-point penalty due to the Calciopoli scandal and must wait to see if they’ll enter the Champions League after their preliminary round tie with Red Star Belgrade.

FOR GOD'S SAKE SIGN HIM!!!!

He clearly wants to come to Milan and not only that but he would be one of our loyal players, which is why I would like to have him even more

Oddo .. I almost forgot he was a target .. What is Milan waiting for unsure.gif

I agree, we should sign him - but for £8m? No way... this is Lazio's fault not Milan's.
Jack Sparrow
Lazio are worried Oddo will do for us what Nesta did for us...make us invincible tongue.gif I mean they want a shot at the scudetto too.

Sign him Braida...let Ibra hang on to his bootstraps for a while...

Otherwise...what Han said exactly what he said
dudernahata
so now its just a game of whether milan gives in to a price or lazio does. and lazio has the upper hand since they have the player. btw, was nesta with lazio when they won the scudetto in 2000??

How come Oddo is suddenly such a good player at this age? I mean I never heard about him much before last year... I would love Oddo in Milan though... I don't care if he is 30... He can give us a good 3 years! smile.gif

Well one thing is for sure, experience

If we manage to get both Gallas and Oddo, then I say we're done for the defense. And since in every probable way Ibra is coming too, shall we say our mercato will be closed with those three players?

I'm scared we're only going to get Ibra... unsure.gif
Milan keeps saying we are covered in all areas... I don't understand that...

I don't think Oddo is worth near 8 Million, and we shouldn't accede to it. He's hardly awesome or anyhting, plus he is already 30. I know at Milan that could mean 10 more years service! but really, he must be cheaper.

I am still sooooo frustrarted that we failed to pick up Zambrotta or even Cannavaro. Why did they have to go so soon, couldn't they have waited and seen. I think we should make a bid to Barca for Zambrotta. And yes, he would be worth 8M Pounds, at least.

Because we are too cheap to spend 8.5 mil on a player we really need. Come on Braida sign him!!!

Why favalli? Its like a Vieri signing.

We could have used those resources and applied it to Oddo.

I love Milan as a team on the pitch but I'm starting to hate their management
