I'm currently studying a 6 week long summer architecture program in America and I play football almost everyday. I was playin yesterday and I met these Italians.

heres how the conversation went

me: where are you guys from?
them: Italy
me: cool, which part?
them: Milan
me: Sweet, you guys support Inter or Milan?
them: Inter
me: haha, are there more Inter fans or Milan fans in Milan?
them: Inter off course, Milan is too weak, the Scudetto is ours
me: Haha, we'll see

at that point I was wondering, isn't it true that Milan has more supporters than Inter?

Interesting question .. Well, who has a wider fan base in Milan?

If I was to guess I'd say Milan, just because the Milan fans fill the stadium more than the Nerazurri ..

Same as like Manchester though, theres more Manchester City fans than Manchester United, even though United are a far more prestigious, wide supported club.

and Torino too ... but who cares ???

Let them Inter fans dream that they'll win lo scudetto on the field ... they can only dream!!!!

...

In Milano (city) there are more AC Milan fans... around Italy and in the other italian cities... etc, there are more Inter fans.

Well in Italy there are more Milan fans (I read this in Gazzeta last year), but in Milano I don't know. It' s almost the same.
In Italy: Juve, Milan, Inter, Napoli, Roma, Lazio...
