Mascherano is on the top7 I would say, along with Vieira, Gattuso, Gilberto, Emerson...

Makelele is still the best IMO.

I´m not impressed by Makelele at this World Cup. Best DM? Rino...but, if you ask me, I´d prefer Mascherano. We have seen by now 4 Argentinian matches (by the way, I don´t especially like Argentinians and their kind off play), and have you mentioned a single mistake by Mascherano? I did not...but maybe today we see him under real pressure against Germany. Still Diarra is also a great choice .

Oh yeah, he'd have some hard work today. Though Mascherano will most surely fail today , I'd like to see him playing for us. He's young, has a good understanding of the game and his technique is very good too. It's a pity we'll only see one game more by him
