Well, I am kind off pleased with coach Carlo...after all, he managed us out of the Zacch and Terim days and continued the Milan legacy (naturally, not only Carlo rolleyes.gif ). Now he is confronted with the ultimative test - to build a new Milan generation...well is he the right one unsure.gif cool.gif ?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
I think he should leave..we should thank him for what he's done but it feels to me that his days here are over and he certainly can't built a new Milan team...He's already started to make Gila look bad...c'mon let him play in a different way it's not gonna hurt..We are all going to see what he's capable of doind when he plays behind the "11" in this WC wink.gif

Any suggestion who could take in charge unsure.gif ? No faith in Ancelotti, uh?

I think we should try to have double managers... Cesare and Paolo together would be extremly cool... biggrin.gif

I must say I admire Cesare, but he is to old I suppose. Paolo+Cesare+Sacchi, sounds like a allstar coach team. Paolo could indeed be the new coach, but he is still playing. Rijkaards late success and his connection to us is very tempting. Someone suggested Donadoni, but not so sure he is the right one. I never understood where Baresi dissapeared? I mean, I knw what he is doing at Milan, but I allway imagined him as a future coach after his retirment biggrin.gif !?

Ancelotti should stay as long as we can hold him

Ancelotti has done well this season, a record breaking 88 points for us the worst we have done in the champions league for 4 years is a quater final, fought bravely for the scudetto missing it only marginally

i say keep him for as long as possible
Portman
Two years without a trophie in a club like Milan, I think it's enough for a coach to be sacked. cool.gif
arivanjj
Ancelotti forever. wink.gif
GULLIVER
Carlo needs another year in Milan to self-establish again after two failed seasons.
Now with new players I'm pretty much sure that he can do more and he definitly will have FRESH IDEAS how to win Seria A. (I think everybody here would like a League Chempion title more then everything else for the next year)

And later In 07 I think Carlo will leave no matter what and that will be his choice.

He is a great coach but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have his ups and downs wink.gif
BoomAM
I think we should keep him for another season at least.
His turn around this season from an underperforming, inconsistant team, to a team thats arguably one of the best in europe, in less than a months period was astonishing.
Maybe, as Costacurta put it, his 'cycle' is starting again rarther than ending. So with a few new players over the summer, prehaps we'll see some great choices by Carlo during the season. And if not, we should let him go.
Safe in the knowledge, that despite a poor few seasons, that he did win us the CL & the league.

Are you forgetting the fact that Juve cheated? It's pretty difficult to finish in first place when another team is essentially fixing their matches. For me, Milan were the champions this year.

BTW....to hell with Chelsea.

to many changes needed on the pitch last thing we need is to change coach. lets see who comes in and how we get on after all i think this will be a transitional period of time for us. carlo is a good coach and will succeed for us but i don't think it will be this year. rui costa, stam, sheva possibly abbiati, ambrosini all gone or going you tell me how any club can cope with that! 07/08 will see us back to our formidable best after a season of change imo

Yea, I am not so sure for the 2004/05 season, but the last one belongs to us smile.gif ! But its late now, to bring us the tweo titles would be only partical satisfaction...Let us see what will happen to Juve in the first place cool.gif . I am just worried about the Italian national team with Lippi...

Do you know wich scenario I fear the most when it comes to Carlos departure? Not the Real thing; Italy fail to qualify for the 1/4 finals (the Czecs suprise as first and go on to the second in the Brazil group (Croatia, Australia, Japan), and Italy faces Brazil)and Lippi gets sacked. Or he quits due to the Juve investigation biggrin.gif . Then Ancelotti gets appointed as national coach! Like Sacchi before...the only man who can also take charge for Italy beside Carlo is Capello.

Well I would go for Henk ten Cate as he's the one that created Barca's game (ofcourse we'll never know that for sure cause the team is balanced enough to continue even without it's mastermind...) but he's already Ajax's coach...
The reason I want Ancelotti out is just because I believe his affair with Milan is over and not because we failed to win any silverware these past two years...
Now as it seems a few new boys are coming in,so I'l like to see Guus Hiddink as he's by far the best tactician worldwide and would be perfect to build up a (relatively) new team.I hope he is allowed to coach a club despite his contract with the Russian NT..
But anyway Ancelotti is staying till the end of next season at least so... smile.gif

I´ve been thinking more of a domicil coach, maybe a former player (our tradition...). Well, it seems that Donadoni did well with Livorno. And where is Gullit these days? Also, why not try Tassotti or Baresi? I know it´s kind off risky but still... wink.gif . Altough Hiddink would be also good. But I feel that Rijkaard might be the next one, after this season biggrin.gif !

When I saw one of the poll questions about how he should be sacked because of 2 trophyless seasons that is exactly what I thought, how can you win a league when it has already bin fixed so that another team will surely win it. Not even the greatest coach there is out there right now could have effected the outcome of the last 2 seasons because even if we were winning it moggi would have done "something" to change things around. So to me the last 2 seasons don't count as failures because there was nothing we could do about them

I think you're underestimating the job...Being a great footballer doesn't mean you can coach too...Most former players are useless as coaches!!Donadoni did a great job though, he'll be a good choice when Ancelotti's gone!

On the other hand we won the calcio two years ago...wasn't Juve cheating back then???I'm not offending Ance here, it's just a thought...And this year yeah we got 88 points but it wasn't that good a year..I mean we were definetely a better team two years ago and you know statistics are mostly bullsh!t... smile.gif

Yes, if you had asked me this two years, I would have answered just like you did. But something is happening, and I can´t miss that - do you see the trend these last years? Good or famous ex-players grow into coaches practically over night, and not at some amateur level clubs, but at high and responsible positions. For example, Marco Van Basten or Jürgen Klinsmann, appointed as national coaches without any experience sad.gif . For me, this would be unacceptable. And yes I know that NC jobs are not the same as CC jobs, still...Look at the clubs too - Sammer, Matthäus, even Mancini...So, I think the era of serious or grave coaches, like Nereo Rocco or some others is over. More and more players grow directly from the playing ground to the coaching bench. And I sugested Baresi cause he is a Milan icon with emense charisma and respect, so je would not be bad, maybe as a assistaint wink.gif .

As for Mourinho at Milan...Nooooo mad.gif ! We dont need that kind of people here! He is a selfish destructionst who works only for his purposes and his methods are absolutely contrary to that of Milan. He is a one man show coach, and I am happy if he stays at Chelsea and continues his shows there. Can someone imagine what would be Joses reaction, hypothetical, on Ancelottis place now? After realizeing that Milan fighted two seasons (mmm to be honest, I doubt in some past Juve titles too, mad.gif ) for the scudetto and, should have won, but Juve cheated huh.gif ! He would blast of the whole Seria A and Milan altogether..Uhhh, and have you seen his reaction to Drogbas statement? No, no, he is a man without respect to anything. And Milan and his players, and fans, deserve much respect cool.gif .
Mr Rossoneri
Ancelotti should stay. Really we could have had 2 back to back champions league trophys. We were very unlucky to lose in istanbul and if it wasn't for a very poor refereeing decision against barcelona we could of very well won the trophy as in my eyes, that was the champions league final in itself

MArco Van Basten
He can change Milan more than Rijkard would change Barcelona.

I´m not so sure about van Basten...If Milan should hire someone new, then certainly a man with experience and past achievments. And Marco fails here smile.gif

I think it's almost time for Ancelotti to go... He is a good coach, not a great one... he looks good when the team plays well but i think he has a couple of big problems as a coach

1. I think he doesn't read the game well. When a team doesn't play well, that is when coaching comes in. I can remember very few times where the team hasn't played well and he changed the game in our favor. Recently, I only remember when he put in Maldini for Gattuso against Lione so Serginho can move up to midfield and add some more attacking options. (then we won)
2. I think he plays favorites with certain players. I think he plays Seedorf WAY too much. Seedorf is a great player but does not deserve as much playing time as he gets. I think he underutilized Jankulovski who would provide more solutions offensively and defensively.

On top of that, I blame him for that Champions League Final against Liverpool. It's an embarassment to lose a game to a bad team after being up 3-0. He should've subbed out players like Seedorf and Pirlo to provide a little more defense and possesion. Kaladze and Dhorasso were on the bench when they could have helped.

The best things Ancelotti has done since he's been at Milan was installing an attacking mentality, inventing Pirlo's new position, playing Kaka over Rui Costa and Rivaldo, and moving Kaladze into the central defense this year.

After 2 years without trophies, it's time for him to leave and for us to thank him for what he has done for this team.

Preferred subs: Rijkaard, Van Basten, or Donadoni
