MILAN - Manuel Rui Costa spoke on the Milan Channel after the victory over Ascoli: ‘We played really well in the first half, but in the second we slowed down a bit. I am happy because it was important to get back to our winning ways. My assist? Each one of us has our strong points, I try to pass the ball deep into the zone. Pippo and I understand each other, we have played together for years. We’ve missed scoring only by millimeters many times, but we continued to try. I need to be trusted in order to do my job, which is to give the strikers good opportunities to score.’ And only a little regret for his missed goal: ‘Certainly it would have been a great way to top off this performance and victory, but I rushed a bit too much and I missed it. We are going home happy with the three points. We need to celebrate this kind of win as well. We have to forget the past and focus on the future.’
