TOGNACCINI: 'Amoroso almost well, Cafu and Maldini fine'
1/17/2006
MILANELLO - Athletic trainer Daniele Tognaccini spoke about new arrival Marcio Amoroso: 'He's started trainng with us. He arrived in good shape but he was on his summer holidays and so his fitness is a bit below the rest of the team. We have prepared a programme for him to follow which will have him ready in 15 days. He had no problems with the medical, what counts for us is that he is available for Carlo Ancelotti.' As for the players unvailable at present: 'Cafu is very well. He has been working on his fitness because he was out for a month and a half. Maldini is also very well, he will work even harder from Thursday.' The team will play a lot of games in a short period: 'There isn't much time to prepare but the players are ready. We are putting on more of a show than in past years but we aren't managing to show what we can do away from home, we have lost games which we should have won easily, such as at Verona. It's difficult to find a motive but we will overcome this problem.'
