However, Van Bommel is nowhere near a playmaker, he's an honest to god DM, sits in front of the defence, positions himself impeccably to win the ball and moves it quickly to his midfield partners, no fuss, no muss. He makes it look easy by always playing it simple. But he's not a crafter, he doesn't have the vision or the technique on the ball to be a playmaker, neighter dose Boateng, and this is the problem with our midfield, we have a lot of muscle without any techinical ability, we've become the old Juve :headslap:

Basically Galliani and Co. are pissed with Raiola's failure in the Fabregas coup. So now were sending him after Schweinsteiger and-------- bale if schweinsteiger isn't possible.


Our mr X has gone to Schweinsteiger first option to Bale second option.

We're about one Ibra injury away from that happening and you know it's true. How much weight are you gonna put on Seedorf? Pato is nowhere the goto striker that Sheva was (yet)!

I would like Schweini...but I don't see it happening. Bayern NEED to win something this year. And that's not done by selling Schweini with 2 weeks of transfer window left.

Bale also I don't see happening and I don't want to see it happening either, unless Bale pushes. Modric possibly. But he will be crazy expensive. And it's not like his wages will compensate.

We need at least 1 top quality creative CM. If we get two even better since then we actually have tactical options.

Come on blue!!! No one really is depressed about Fabregas, because even the ones who were on the bandwagon, deep down, they knew he would never happen for us. I'm just surprised that you believed in it so much. It's shocking to me how the Ibrahimovic deal last season has absolutely blinded some people into thinking Galliani is the Messiah... Have we all forgotten the last6 years of mediocre signings??

That is why I'd be extatic if we goth Montolivo and Aquilani, I'd be disappointed if we got just 1 of them, and livid if we ended up with no one. Schweinsteiger is on the same level as Cesc, he's not going to come. Montolivo and Aquilani are both quality players with a lot of Serie A experience who probably would adjust instantly to our system. This is why I myself and a lot of other wants them to come. Only the ones who were believing in the Fabregas deal are turning their nose at them. Which imo is completely ridiculous as we were never going to get him in the first place.

Both had good seasons in the CL for Roma and Fiorentina. Aquilani first really caught my eye in the CL for Roma. The move to Liverpool was a mistake imo, he would never have made it there. That league is not made for players like Aquilani, maybe Gattuso would have made it big there in his prime days, but players like Aquilani, Montolivo, Pirlo, etc would never make it in the EPL, they're just too delicate for it
