QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Feb 28 2014, 11:38 PM) *
Problem in Italy is, unlike England, stadiums are not reaching capacity. Juventus stadium, which seats 41K has a 92% average attendance.

A new stadium would help us in that regard, as San Siro sees an average attendance at 44.7% and 56.5% for us and inter respectively. Having 60% would only be good if we can seat more than we currently are, MUCH more.

That’s very true. I think a new stadium would attract more fans, but perhaps not enough to fill a 60,000 seater stadium for most games. Not with Serie A and the Italian economy as it currently stands.

Another thing to consider would be the rail seating that some clubs in Germany use that give the option of safe-standing. I think it would be fantastic for one of the stands to have that, similar to the huge stand that Dortmund use.

Some clubs in England are trialling it - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26141427

I’m curious as to what the capacity of the new potential stadium will be. Thoughts? Personally I can’t see it being less than 60,000.

Dude, I dunno if you've seen any game, but Amelia has been impressive in the pre-season.

Nah I’m yet to watch any of the preseason games although I have read reports and it seems as though he’s doing ok. I’m just basing my theory on his last season with Genoa. When they initially signed him I personally thought it was one of the coops of the season, but he performed below average all throughout. Hopefully he’ll start living up to his former promise with us though. I hope!

Amelia
Yepes
Sokratis
Boateng
Ibrahimovic

We could have done with a fullback as well, but overall I'd say we've had a pretty good signing campaign, which had not happened in years.

Minus Amelia & I’d agree with you.

United end 2-2 with Fulham. United muffed a non-existent penalty, while Fulham were not given a clear penalty. But otherwise a fair result.

I was really pleased with this result. I think Fulham have made a great appointment in Mark Hughes. Not many managers would be able to follow on from what Hodgson has done on such a limited budget but I reckon he’s got a decent chance.

Quality result for Spurs. I cannot stand Liverpool!!

I think Liverpool will be in for a difficult season. I just can't see Aquilani filling Alonso's boots well enough... And if he fails, then they cannot rely on anyone else in that position.

Chelsea won 2-1 in the end. A slightly shaky start for Carlo’s first game in the EPL, but still a win regardless!

Eboue taking the penalty was tactical. The team and Wenger knew he was getting some stick from fans, so they agreed it was best for him to take it to get the supporters back on his side.

Barca definately look in complete control of the game... Messi is looking brilliant, Ronaldo has had 1 or 2 "wow" moments, but other than them nothing special.

Second half should be interesting (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It's a nice game to watch...

I’m really looked forward to the game tonight!!

My prediction is a 2-2 draw! Ronaldo scoring both for United, and Messi and Iniesta for Barcelona.

Fair result.

In 2005 Liverpool got a goal allowed that wasn't... This partly compensates for that... Go on Chelsea... **** those dirty scousers

He is a good player and everything, but i am concerned about the size of our Brazilian contigent. It is getting out of hand, and seems similar to Inter and their love of Argentinians.

Bring Barzagli

Agreed. Get rid of Ronaldo and bring in Rossi then the balance will be restored. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

Man I love Joe Cole. I'm happy that he has finally secured his spot for Chelsea. Shame about Cech. Hopefully he can enjoy the Christmas and New Year with family.
