Juve and Milan trade insults
Wednesday 23 April, 2008

Juventus' general manager Jean-Claude Blanc has become embroiled in an argument with Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

The Frenchman, who joined La Vecchia Signora in June 2006, reacted to competition from the Diavolo for Arsenal's Mathieu Flamini in a cheeky fashion.

Asked why Flamini would choose the Bianconeri ahead of the Rossoneri, Blanc said: “Juve are in the Champions League and Milan aren't.”

Galliani [pictured] didn't waste any time coming up with a response, sniping: “The Club World Cup champions cannot possibly reply to the newly-promoted Juventus.”

Relations between the two clubs have been cordial since 2006 when the Turin giants were relegated and Milan were penalised for their part in the Calciopoli scandal.

However, Juventus' competitiveness this term has marked the return of a historic antipathy which could spoil the Bianconeri's efforts to sign another of their targets, Genoa striker Marco Borriello, who is currently on loan from Milan.

I see nothing wrong with what Blanc said. He was asked and he said what we all think...

On the other hand, I find Galliani's response to be full of arrogance (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) and out of place.

We've been saying that the CL is the most prestigious trophy at club level (and I agree with that) so we can't be acting as if it does not matter if we qualify for it or not now...

It is the most prestigious tournament. And Flamini would have a better chance at getting his hands on it with Milan, than he would with Juve.

Galliani is the figure head of the club, if he was asked by reporters that Blanc said this about Milan ... I think he has every right to say so.

I see Galliani is busy giving us positive relations with other clubs as usual. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Ah, like old times. The sniping between the two clubs has a long, long history. This is pretty mild.

Well, to be honest I kind of enjoy these small skirmishes - as long as they are kept civilized. Reminds me of the old times, the good times. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif)

I'm all with Galliani on this one. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think it's really funny..and brings us back to the good days. It was really uncomfortable having to 'like' Juve when they were down. Now they're back on top, they've beaten us in the league, and finally they're back to their arrogant selves, sniping at us, just lke they used to.

I can finally go back to hating them again. And as for the merda well I'm sure things will be back to normal. So in the words of Mr.T : I pity the fools!

Ahh good times are back again.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Of course we're arrogant... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Just like any other fan of a big club. Barca, Real, Milan, Manchester, Liverpool. It's pointless to deny that you don't see yourself as at a slightly higher level than say a Valencia or a Tottenham. Except in our case it's not entirely without reason. Ask any merda fan why he hates a Milan supporter besides the fact that they support the red and black and he'll tell you it's coz Rossoneri fans are smug and arrogant and treat their victories with a sense of entitlement. I don't go around for one second saying I'm humbler than the dust. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The Juve-Milan argument: You have to put this in perspective... It's like two friends A and B who meet up after some time...

A: Wazzup d!ckhead?
B: Nothing much...how' you doin @$$crack?

....and then they go off to share a beer.

Nothing too big. Just good humoured banter. It's been going on even before I became a fan...and it wasn't this sedate (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

You all seem to dislike Galliani, but this was the best response he could give to SHUT HIM (Blanc) UP!
