AC Milan - Milanfan.com _ News _ Zlatan Ibrahimovic Offers Swedish Teenager Milan Trial After Discovering Him In Back Garden

Posted by: Warchant Oct 11 2010, 06:17 AM

QUOTE
Milan superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has offered a Swedish teenager a dream opportunity with the Serie A giants after discovering him in his very own back garden.

Malmo teenager Erik Kristjansson got the shock of his life when Ibrahimovic told him to pack his bags and head for Italy for a trial with the Rossoneri after the two enjoyed a kickabout at his home in Sweden.

The Swedish striker is friends with Kristjansson's architect father Gisli who helped renovate Ibrahimovic's mansion in his native Malmo. Luckily for the teenager he accompanied his dad to the house last weekend and snapped up the chance to have a kickabout with its owner Ibra who was home for a visit.

Ibrahimovic was impressed with the 16-year old's skills and was immediately on the phone to Milan.

"Zlatan came out and said, ‘How would you like to try playing for Milan?’," Gisli Kristjansson told Swedish news site The Local.

"We said, are you joking, and he said it was no joke. We couldn’t believe it," added the delighted dad.

The very next morning the teenager boarded a plane destined for Italy and has spent the week training with the other talented youngsters in the famous Milan youth academy.

"It's like a fairy tale. I’m a bit nervous, but football is Erik's life and as a father, how could I say no to an opportunity like this," Mr Kristjansson said.

His son Erik has been busy in his first week settling into his dormitory and taking part in training.

"Our training sessions are like the games at a very high tempo. I'm learning an incredible amount. Wherever it leads to we'll see. I hope I get to stay," Erik Kristjansson told Swedish newspaper Sydsvenskan.

"I see myself as a winger but I've also played in other positions. It's a lot of running but I've got good lungs!"

Ambitious Erik is hoping to emulate Malmo's most famous son by making his name in Italy. For now the teenager doesn't even have a return ticket home.

"I don’t know when I’m coming home. Hopefully never," the teenager told Sydsvenskan.

"My life is football and this is the chance of a lifetime. I didn't believe it was true when Zlatan told me I could come here. Even if this doesn't turn into anything I'll still gain a lot of experience and other clubs might become interested. My goal is to see how far I can go in football."

I think this is BS. There's zero mention of this on acmilan.com or gazzetta.it, and the only sources getting a whiff of this "story" are Swedish, and no Italian ones. Seriously, he's instantly whisked off to Milanello simply after a mere kickabout in Ibra's backyard?

Plus, it's Goal.crap; 'nuff said. In the end, this was probably a fantasy camp experience and nothing more.

Of course, I wouldn't put it past Galliani to even consider for a millisecond signing this guy, as he'd be worth about five cents.

Keeping young talents out of the media limelight would make sense imo.

But you could be right.

Like you said even if he doesn't become "Milan material" he's free and he might be Serie A material and Milan can profit from it plus the kid gets a chance @ a career.

Nonethelesss, unlike acmilan.com, Gazzetta would post an article about a Milan player passing wind in an empty room.

So why would they fabricate such story? Is it a Zlatan PR machine?

You are way too quick to dismiss it.

^ Well said. With all the excess wanking over Ibra I wonder if he's going to stop global warming after he's cured AIDS and cancer dry.gif They've elevated this piece of **** to a god back at R&B now with zillions of homoerotic and blasphemous pics like he actually did something great(see below).

Yes I've drunk a lot of haterade but you guys better do me and yourselves a favour and BAN ME RIGHT NOW if another community supposedly entrusted with Milan fandom had become another festering iHomo groupie cesspool swear1.gif

Someone across there actually had the nerve to say that Ibra is the best thing to happen to Milan and gets flooded with groupie high fives puke.gif

lol relax. I gotta say after 5 or so years without sheva; its finally nice to have a striker we can truly consider world class.

@dru: I don't really mind your hating Ibra. That's fine. But the remarks you aim at him are rather homophobic no? Couldn't you maybe call him maybe a diva, a jackass, a prima donna, or even an A$$hole...

No I'm not being homophobic....just a play on his name really. At Juve/Inter I referred to him as I'mahomobitch...and I shortened it to iHomo since I'll have to refer to him a lot more now that he's one of us.

Don't think that I'm just some blind shallow hater of the guy. I don't hate him. But I DO think he's scum (kicking Strasser, provocation of Gooch, and there are TONS of footage of him being scum, interntionally trying to injure his marker etc).

Yes he scores lots of goals and I won't be here to troll, banging at him at every turn. I just thinks Milan deserves a classier PERSON. With gentlemen like Paolo, Carlo, Leo, $heva, ricky etc, Ibra is the odd one out.

If you can't emphatize with my frustration. take a look at http://forum.acmilan-online.com/showthread.php?t=11561&page=400 I will never insult my old forum but seriously the over the top Ibra worship is ridiculous

Posted by: Bluesummers Dec 2 2010, 12:30 PM

Oh don't get us wrong. We like him for his footballing qualities and nothing more. If we had a better option, we would throw him out the door instantly. There is no love here for this man. He's not like Kaka where we all adored him. To us he's a world class striker that is helping us out of a difficult time and thats it.

3 years from now he'll be done and we'll have dzeko and balotelli leading our front line. We'll eventually get to our classy form its just going to take a while.

Your options really get limited when you have no money and this deal was only possible because rosell and guardiola are complete and utter morons.

So grab a glass of wine and take a look at the serie A table and enjoy cool.gif

Posted by: Jack Sparrow Dec 2 2010, 12:31 PM

And you're saying you're trying to insult him by calling him Ibrahomobitch...but you're not homophobic at all??

I just want to clear things up...not trying to rile you up or force a viewpoint.

Like I said, you're absolutely not required to worship anyone on this forum...and well the R&B forums do have a lot of perhaps over-passionate people if not on this issue then others. But well...we do draw a line..as you might have read(and commented) in the forum guidelines post. The reason I'm repeating this is because I don't want you to think I'm asking you to stop calling him that coz we like Ibra.

We're a crazy bunch of iconoclasts here with Milan as a vague point of reference that's all. tongue.gif

So what's the verdict? Do I get to use it (would mean a lot). If not no biggie. Glad to hear at least someone say that he doesn't like Ibra....and that you're not required to worship anyone. Well...I'd rather you didn't use the Homo term. It's homophobic + derogatory. Feel free to use other non-abusive terms to hate on him if you like.

Think about it this way. What if another poster comes in whose actually a fan of Ibra. How do you think he'd feel reading this? And his reactions could start of a flame war needlessly. And no one's in the right anymore.

I can understand not liking Ibra, but take him out and put Borriello back in. How many points do we have? I highly doubt we are first place. I have to respect the guy, not like him, but respect him.

LOL. Hating and insulting a player who's winning you games simply because he's a jerk in real life is quite over the top. Example: I might dislike Ronaldinho, but that's only because I think he's a mediocre athlete. If Ronaldinho was partying every single night till 2AM whilst winning us games single-handedly, I would reserve only words of praise for him. Bottom line: a team in the position of ours, who's been mocked and kicked in the past 3 years by everyone, cannot afford to say no to a player of the calibre of Ibrahimovic. As Milan fans, we have the duty to always support and cheer him for what he's given so far to this team, not insult him.

Cool story bro. smile.gif Last time I checked there was no manual on how to be a fan or that said that because someone plays well for your team you must overlook the minor fact that he's SCUM. Sorry but to me Milan is perched at a loftier position than that. Just my opinion.

I'm not saying it's a rule, I'm saying how your ethics should guide you. Football is not about how kind and witty and gay a player is, but how much he can deliver on the field. And Zlatan delivers, A LOT. Keep your lofty Milan to yourself, I want my winning Milan back!

clearly winning at all costs is what Milan is about to you and that's fine. Last time I checked my opinion belonged to me. If we were about only about titles then Maldini wouldn't have advised that we don't seek caliciopoli redress. H
onour and family are a big big part of our appeal. If that do
esn't matter to you that's all well and good but don't project your priorities on me. Milan is a football club and we're in the buisness of winning. However we've had great success winning our way there's no need to change our identity due to yous impatience.

Posted by: amancik Dec 4 2010, 07:41 PM

Yes we're Milan, we have a heritage to preserve and name to protect. But like I said, it's not like we're in shambles because of Ibra. If anything we're getting better and stronger with him. I'm sure his attitude has changed considerably since joining us. Not just him but Robinho, Boateng and Amelia almost all of our signings this summer, have praised the atmosphere at the club. That means we're still under control and we're still classy.

I think this thing about Ibra's (and Robs') ego and attitude has been blown way out of proportion. everyone was panicking how his presence in the dressing room would unbalance the whole club and blahs like that. nothing [serious] has happened.

Impatience? We've been a joke for three years straight, do you expect me to close an eye or something? If I was to put my priorities of honor and respect over those of success, there wouldn't be a point in watching football in the first place.

LOLZ dude...if you're bothered that much go support Barca or somehtin.
This is why despite my disdain for Inter fans I respect the hardcore ones....they've been supporting their team for decades without anything to show for it. the zlatan hate is obvious.

He played for Inter and Juve for one thing and he's arrogant. Milan fans have gotten used to world class players without egos on our team for years so now its a surprise to see one and they don't like it.

Thanks for pointing this out bro....to me it's pretty obvious but not everyone thinks this way. The arrogance is one thing. CR7 is an arrogant douche but I don't like dirty players. Zlatan is often violent on the pitch. He injured Van Der Vaart INTENTIONALLY and throughout his Juve and Inter career is KNOWN for his dirtiness. No amount of goals he scores no matter how grateful I am for it can reconclie this fact. I fear Strasser and Onyewu are just the beginning, but hopefully this is just my paranoia and negativity speaking and the Milan atmosphere has indeed changed him smile.gif

In the beginning of Zlatans career he was not appreciated in sweden because(Most say) he was from Rosengård(wich is a slum in a Swedes eyes) and that a cocky kid from the slum could be that good was not gonna happen. No genuine Swede would cheer for an immigrant from Rosengård but they didn't have any choice cuz he managed to deliver in the national team and at several times saved the team from not qualifying.
THAT arrogance you are talking about grew from all the hate that still is dividing football fans all over the world on whether Zlatan is a worldclass player or not....

Same **** was said when he moved to Barcelona but he showed there that he could be very humble but eventually people screwed him over....
I understand hating him as a person but he's €#€%" delivering on the field....
