QUOTE (m1ke @ Jan 2 2006, 10:05 PM)
Yeah, really sorry about that guys. Boban, the person running the competition found it really hard to keep it going every week due to his other commitments, and I couldn't find anyone else who was willing to take it over.

I'm going to take the prizes from this season and make them up for grabs next season, so more people (rather than just 1st, 2nd etc.) will be able to get a prize. I'll also make sure that a team of people are in charge of it, and not just a single person (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

yer sorry about that hay guys, ive just been at school and stuff like that, sorry to let use down (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

italian soccer thingo are investigating this situation so it should be good to see what happens... because when they freeze him out befor juventus match they lose that and lose 3 mathes in a row and his contract runs out in 2007, so whats the point in extending the contract now :S , i think theres some monkey biusness going on there but we shall see what happens

QUOTE (m1ke @ Sep 26 2005, 01:57 AM)
Things are (slowly) starting to fall into place for this Milan side. Is there anyone who still feels we need to buy extra cover in January?
*

personally i think its a must to get new defenders in because our defence is aging and soon if we dont get cover in that area we will be using the reserve side in the defence...... for now the defence looks alright but in a couple years time it will start to fall apart if we dont swoop on a decent defender

hes a top striker and all but 5 strikers how are we going to rotate these players somone is bound to be unhappy and would want to leave ?? thats what you have to think about but also another we need to spend money on the defence but if hes free then that would be alright

for me id have to say for my national team to win world cup because croatia have got 3rd place thats the closest theyve ever got and that was a unforgetable moment and to see them win something would be awsome (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hey M1ke,
I was inspired by "Sheva is brilliant 05" concenring the "Chat" topic he created...
How about a Chatroom for the website in which we can attend real time discussions with all logged in members ? (Messenger type)
Is this feasible ?

yeah i see wat hes saying but i dont think he will go to chelsea, pesonally being captian doesn't mean everything and i think sheva knows that so he wont be leaving he will be a milanista for eva and eva

i think milan will change the system because they wont have world class italians in the team always so it wont be inforced all the time i hope it isn't anyway

He's a very talented player but first we're full of talents and second his attitude is unpredictable...

indeed he is a talented player but his behaviour is just rotten the way he acts he doesn't deserve to be playing the game (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

thats my view of him other people may think different

QUOTE
Juve transfer guru Luciano Moggi insists Juve are still the Scudetto favourites and that they don't regret leaving Alberto Gilardino to Milan.

“I don’t consider the Rossoneri to be superior to Juventus,” said the director general in an interview with Radio Radio. “They are on a par with us and Inter.”

In what has so far been a relatively quiet summer on the transfer front, Milan have been the most active with the arrival of Marek Jankulovski, Johann Vogel, Christian Vieri and former Parma hitman Gilardino. It was strongly reported the 23-year-old striker was on Juve’s wish-list as well as that of Chelsea.

“We did not challenge Milan for Gilardino’s signature because we have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Adrian Mutu, Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet and Marcelo Zalayeta,” assured Moggi. “It was an excellent move for them, but I don’t think he is any better than our strikers and our best tactic is to avoid clutter in the squad.”

This could well include some stellar departures, as after Enzo Maresca’s move to Sevilla and Alessio Tacchinardi’s switch to Villarreal, now Fabrizio Miccoli is set to leave the Stadio delle Alpi.

“He is a player who always manages to score 13-15 goals per season. There aren’t many of his like around and Miccoli is also very young,” stated the director general. However, it is reported that the former Fiorentina hitman has been offered to Inter in an exchange deal for Cristiano Zanetti.

“Inter have certainly reinforced their squad, especially with the arrival of David Pizarro and Walter Samuel. Milan and Juventus have also brought in champions such as Patrick Vieira, so we’ll see who comes out on top. I think we have created a strong foundation for the squad and we don’t need any other players.”

It looks to be a three-horse race once again for the Serie A title, but Moggi sees the influence of smaller sides increasing this year.

“I believe Juve, Milan and Inter will fight it out for the top spot, but fourth place is a battle between Sampdoria, Palermo and a little further behind Udinese,” he concluded. “Roma could be in there if they didn’t have this transfer embargo, which I consider to be rather over the top. We have a good rapport with President Franco Sensi’s club and all past misunderstandings have been clarified.”
