So yeah, with all the major leagues now over, who do you think the best players have been this season from all over Europe?

Love you lil' Engish fecker. Great thread.

11:

----Ibrahimovic-----F.Torres--------
----------------------------------------
-Ronaldo--Fabregas--Essien--Messi
----------------------------------------
--Evra-----Vidic----Pepe----Ramos--
----------------------------------------
----------------Casillas--------------

Subs: Frey, Daniel Alves, Ferdinand, R.Carvalho, Capdevila, Cambiasso, Ribery, Robinho, Benzema and Raul.

*

-Casillas (The best out there).

-Evra (It's difficult to find someone as good as him for LB in Europe at the moment).
-Vidic (Amazing season).
-Pepe (Very good first season. Top man in the Superclassico in Camp Nou - a match to remember).
-Ramos (Best RB worldwide and still young; not a surprise Maldini said he's his heir).

-Essien (One more impressive season as DM, not RB obviously).
-Fabregas (Still young but he gave Arsenal a shot in the title race and in the CL).
-Ronaldo (Is he human?).
-Messi (Quality; if it wasn't him Barcelona wouldn't reach the CL places).

-Ibrahimovic (Single-handedly he gave another title to Inter; he's the difference).
-F.Torres (The best striker in the world; 33 goals in his first season in Merseyside).

*

-Frey (Top man for Viola; Top season for the ex-Inter keeper).
-Daniel Alves (Not as good as last season but still a world-class RB).
-Ferdinand (Agressive but top top top CB).
-Carvalho (One of the best CB in EPL).
-Capdevila (Villarreal's LB. Good season).
-Cambiasso (Important for Inter and their success).
-Iniesta (The best in Catalonia midfield; a genius)
-Ribery (First and amazing season in Germany).
-Robinho (A superb season until... February).
-Benzema (It reminds me Cantona; Lyon's top man).
-Raul (He's back)
-Pato (Deserves)

Coach: Prandelli (He did it...).

My 23 + coach for 2007/08.

My team:

Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid & Spain)
The best in the World for a few seasons now in my opinion.
Right Back: Maicon (Inter & Brazil)
Had a great season for Inter, regular for Brazil now and still only 26.
Left Back: Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus & Italy)
Solid at the back this season, another great Italian defender in the making.
Center back: Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United & England)
I don't like him, but he had a great season for United. He no longer seems to have concentration problems.
Center back: Carlos Cuéllar (Rangers & Spain)
A poor finish to the season by Rangers, but this guy was amazing all year long.
Center Mid: Franck Ribery (Bayern & France)
What a first season, amazing.
Center Mid: Francesc Fabregas (Arsenal & Spain)
He's still very young, yet he seems to have been a top player for a few years. Another great season.
Center Mid: Wesley Sneijder (Real madrid & Holland)
I thought he was amazing in his first season at Real. A great signing.
Right Wing: Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United & Portugal)
40+ goals, EPL title, European Cup. All he needs is Euro 2008 for a perfect season.
Left Wing: Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus & Italy)
A great way to return to Serie A, as top scorer. Great season from Alex.
Striker: Luca Toni (Bayern & Italy)
Superb season in his first season in Germany. One of the hottest striker around right now.
Manager: Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United & Scotland)
His 10th EPL title and a 2nd European Cup. He really should retire after a season like this.

Subs:
Coach: Cesare Prandelli (Fiorentina & Italy)
A good run in Europe & 4th place. Great season for his young team.
GK: Julio Cesar (Inter & Brazil)
Becoming one of the better keepers in the World nowadays.
DF: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid & Spain)
Still very young, and yet another good season from him at the highest level.
DF: Joleon Lescott (Everton & England)
Fantastic for Everton at the back. 10 goals from open play as well, incredible for a defender.
MF: Gareth Barry (Aston Villa & England)
A bit of a homer pick. But probably the best overall player outside the big 4.
MF: Esteban Cambiasso (Inter & Argentina)
A very under-rated player. The Ambrosini of Inter, but an even more complete player.
MF: Massino Ambrosini (Milan & Italy)
My only Milan selection. I thought he was very consistant in what was an unconsistant season for us.
Winger: Ashley Young (Aston Villa & England)
Another homer pick, should feature heavily in the future of English football. 17 assists + 8 goals this season.
ST: Raul (Real Madrid & Spain)
Shame he wasn't called up for Spain. A top season from a real legend of the game.
ST: Fernando Torres (Liverpool & Spain)
Very good season for his first in English football.

A great season for him yeah and he would be my XI if only he still did not have concentration problems... he almost scored an own-goal with a header in the final the other day... he's made many big mistakes but he has not paid for them. But this is not the right place, we should not turn this thread into a debate.

Hmmm...I think I'll wait till after the Euro. Some people might be really good/flop there.

I thought of that too but I voted for club level performances. Who do you think are the best so far?

Wow, some of you seem to think that there's a place for a Milan player this year in the team of the season (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

As for the team, I didn't see enough football this year (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I know! I had Ambro on my bench, that's it. But R7 had 3 Milan players in his starting line-up! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Hmmm...till now I think it's like this.

---------------------------------Casillas-----------------------------------

---------Sagna---------Ferdinando-----------Vidic---------Evra--------

----------------------------Essien---------------Ballack------------------

-------C.Ronaldo----------------------------------------Ribery----------

---------------Toni---------------------------Raul------------------------

IMO there has been no really amazing left back this season but from these Evra was the best. Same goes for Sagna, but I give him a lot of credit since it was his first season.
I picked Ballack in midfield because 1. I'm biased and 2. I would have never expected him to come back in the way he did.
Raul is there because he did much more for his team than scoring a more than fair amount of goals. He worked more than anyone else and deserves to there despite others also beeing good upfront like Torres, Ibra, Pato, Gomez, Benzema.
But the best surprise for me is René Adler. Although many didn't recognize his amazing season he impressed me a lot since his second season was even better than his first. He also reminds me a lot of Oli Kahn minus the arrogance and bitting and Karate kicks.....
