Forlan was a zero in the EPL. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
In La Liga he's one of the top but I doubt he'll make the same mistake.

Villa should go for Bent.

Some players are different, they like to go back and prove themself to show they weren't a flop.

Bent is headed for Spurs or possibly Liverpool if it falls through.

Babel is okay I suppose, I wouldn't be excited by him signing.

Babel is a huge talent and is only 20. He is a winger and also a very good scorer. If Villa use wingers, he would be a great buy, although I think he suits Serie A much better.

Maybe I'm getting nostalgic in my dotage, but Babel reminds me - a little bit, at least - of MVB. He's very good.

I don't know about that, but he keeps reminding me of the movie Babel... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

We do use wingers. But we already have Ashley Young, who in my opinion is the best young winger on the planet. Agbonlahor/Maloney/Berger/Moore are also our wingers, we really don't need another.

Carew/Sutton as our big guys, so he doesn't have a place.

I'd rather spend £15m on Sneidjer, I don't want Babel at all.

He is probably going to Arsenal anyway:

If I get the chance one day to train with Arsene Wenger it would be a dream. From when I was young I supported Arsenal. I liked the style, the ambience, how they show themselves on the field - everything

Though Arsenal seem pretty cautious about buying young players for now.

Babel's too old for Arsenal. He'd probably bring their average age out of the teens.

I wouldn't be surprised if you got him, Wenger is a great guy for developing talant, if he's still there of course. I couldn't really see him going anywhere else in the EPL.

P.S. Nice sig Locke, Paul Merson is a legend. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Not as far as I know.
He recently wrote a column in the Arsenal magazine about the CL and other stuff, thats where I found the quote.
It's just a part of what he said about Milan, though.
I considered posting it, but I decided not to push it too far.

Ah right.

It's just he picked to play for Villa in the Football Masters this year, not Arsenal, unless he was never asked by Arsenal (Which I highly doubt).
