QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 6 2022, 04:55 PM) Wishful thinking, Han. Just cos it's happened in the past doesn't mean it will happen again. This year Napoli seem to have made that step forward in terms of mentality. They will lose points obviously, like all teams do, but I don't expect a huge tumble from them. That was my point, they will eventually lose points. And we have to be there when they do. Losing points ourselves during these "easy" stretches of games is the problem for us. Also, you really cannot say how they will react. They looked even better than they do now under Sarri in that season when they got over 90 points, but managed to bottle it at the end. I'm not saying for sure that they will bottle it. But currently they have a near perfect record, and it won't remain that way. I thought they weren't that good yesterday, I thought against Roma they weren't that great either and we were the better team against them. Eventually they will drop points. That doesn't mean they'll bottle it per se. It's just natural to have ups and downs during the season. At one point last season I thought for sure Inter were going to romp to the title. During those stretches before the derby that we won, they looked seriously good, and like they could not lose a game, but from that moment on when Giroud scored that goal, things took a 180. And Inter were champions then. Not a team (and coach as well, cannot forget Spaletti here) who have a massive complex when it comes to the Scudetto. We're on matchday 13. Not 23. If the latter was the case and they were playing like they are now + have a 6 point lead. Then obviously I would be with you. But there are still so many games left to go. And they still have to play Inter and Juve from this first round

With the way Napoli are going I feel like this is us saying buy to the Scudetto at this point...
Absolutely unforgivable to drop points here!

Pioli baffles me sometimes. Wtf was Lazetic supposed to do here?
Taking off Rebic and Tonali?
Absolute dross of a game. We've been playing like sh!t for months now. Something has to change.

QUOTE (CrazyMilanFan @ Nov 7 2022, 08:45 AM) we draw Spurs, inter-porto and Napoli-Frankurt Very favourable draws (on paper) for the Italian clubs. QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 7 2022, 03:50 PM) Best possible opponent we could have gotten. The chances of reaching the QFs are real. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif) *fingers crossed* QUOTE (X-Offender @ Nov 8 2022, 06:54 PM) Not gonna bother commenting. With Napoli flying and us bottling easy games left and right this season has already gone down the shitter. The only consolation is that neither Inter will be winning it. It's really infuriating... We continuously drop points against weaker opponents where we should be cementing our position higher up on the table. We seriously seem to lack a killer instinct & decision making in the box. I can't help but wonder what if we had our full side... But this is football, these things happen (injuries & whatever else, that is unfavourable or 'unfair'), we just have to deal with it, because no side wins a title of any kind with just their starting 11. These early months of the season so far (unfortunately) have really shown us how much we depend on our marquee players, and difference in quality & chemistry available to us en large.

Our full side? We were playing Cremonese, arguably the worst team we've faced so far. It's inexcusable to not win even if you don't have Theo, Giroud or Leao from the start. Just inexcusable.
Napoli have played big chunks of this season without Rrahmani, Osimhen, Anguissa and Kvara, yet they keep winning regardless.
PS: Although the pen they got against Empoli was ridiculous. There was an identical contact between a Cremonese defender and Brahim in our match, but nothing. I'm confident without that pen they might have drawn, because they weren't creating anything until then.

Napoli keep f@cking winning man...
We'll see how they come back after the world cup. I refuse to believe they'll stay this flawless all season.
As for us. Only ourselves to blame. We're so good against the top 6 but pedestrian against the bottom sides. It was the same last season, but Inter kept giving us ins.
It all depends on Napoli now and if they will take a tumble at some point

Every f@cking week with this torture FFS!!
Thankfully we got out of this with the 3 points and salvaged our hopes of still fighting for this title!
I've been saying for weeks that this world cup could not come soon enough for us, we've been on our knees for the last 6 weeks or so.
Title now all depends on how we get back after the break. Pioli really needs to switch to a 4-3-3. Look at Vranckx today, so good on the ball, good with the short passes, good decision making. Why has he not been playing more?? Our defence is all over the place, and it all has to do with that midfield and Tonali's positioning imo. A 4-3-3 will solve most of the problems we currently have, and will actually allow Tonali to be released more without the jeopardy we're currently facing when he does so
Of course getting Calabria and Maignan back is also hugely important. We need Kalulu back at CB, we need the surety and leadership of Maignan back in there like a man walking the desert needs water. Cannot wait to not have to watch Tata f@cking about back there. Same goes for Dest and Gabbia.

Pioli's use of guys like Vranckx, Adli, CDK and Thiaw has to be questioned more
Why are they not playing?
CDK's confidence is not even zero at this point, it's somewhere at below 30. He did not handle him correctly and the kid has lost all his confidence. He should be tried out on the right as well as he's clrearly having issues in the centre.
Why are Krunic and Brahim getting all the minutes there instead of Charles and Adli? Brahim (who I really like) is going back to Real, at this point we have to dedicate more minutes to our own players.
Why was pobega starting ahead of Vranckx? It is clear as day that the latter has more skill and technique in his pinky toe than Pobega will ever hope to have. We've lost unforgivable points in a run where we should have made a clean sweep considering it was our easiest stretch of games. Yet, we lost stupid points because of terrible rotation as well as some terrible tactical implementations.
Let's see, but Pioli for me has let this team down these past 2 months, CL games as aside, we've been terrible in all the Serie A games
