A good showing from the team. Chemistry is so good. The team clicks and moves as a unit.

Form is not a constant, there will be ups and downs. But overall the team did well.

As for individuals, is still too early to judge. The team as a whole was in great form.

Next game is the season opener against Udinese.

Messias was great today. Goal, assist, quality output overall. Doesn't compare to Saladmaker who was atrocious when he came on.

Next game is another friendly vs Vicenza on the 6th. I hope we get to see some minutes of De Ketelaere and Origi.

We should have won this 5-0 or close. So many missed chances, which is not a good thing. Leao has to work on his accuracy. It's his biggest flaw at this point.

We better tie him down long term ASAP. I do not understand why we're going to walk into the season with him and Benna on their last 2 years. If Leao gets that last piece to his game down, his finishing, then he'll be worth big money. He's already a 100m player imo. But if he starts getting big goal numbers and we still haven't tied him down long term, we're screwed

What we've seen from Pioli so far in the 2 full seasons he's been our coach is that we come out of the traps quick. I think we're going to start the season really strong this time out, probably even stronger than last season which would be something since we were nearly perfect for the first 10 matchdays or so

Looks like we're not getting anyone for the RW so Messias better bring it this season

No, it's just speculation in case of a sprain. The instrumental tests will be carried tomorrow. The hope is that it's only an elongation, which requires a few days of rest. But knowing our luck, it's probably going to be a sprain. I really hope he doesn't miss the derby on 3/9.

Milan awaits news on Sandro Tonali, who yesterday was forced to stop in the match against Vicenza. According to what was gathered by the MilanNews.it editorial team, the player is quite calm, given that there is optimism for the exams scheduled for tomorrow. Same for Junior Messias, whose conditions do not worry much. Finally, Oliver Giroud did some customized work to dispose of the physical annoyances.

At Casa Milan good news on the Tonali front, who was injured in the friendly match on Saturday night against Vicenza: the tests he was subjected to excluded musculotendinous injuries and the midfielder will be evaluated day by day. The hypothesis of a stretch disappears, Tonali remains at risk for the debut in the league against Udinese but the recovery times are now quantifiable in days and not in weeks: most likely he will be available in the second outing in Bergamo against Atalanta Sunday 21 August.

Giroud's conditions are also to be checked, struggling with muscle fatigue that forced him to miss the friendly match in Vicenza and the test with Pergolettese. Alarm returned instead for Messias, who has recovered from an ankle injury.

Phew...

-48h. Can't wait.

Probable line-up: Maignan, Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo, Krunic, Bennacer, Messias, Brahim, Leao, Rebic.

I also read Origi has been training regularly with the group and should be available on the bench. Great news.

CDK will be our RW. And Adli our AM. Mark my words.

I really don't think CDK was signed for the RW going by the comments from people at the club as well as others who know CDK's game. Everyone seems to see him as an attacking mid/second striker type. This gives me chills as it is setting us up for another season of Messias and Alexis on the right

Pioli just today in his presser said that he's an AM but can play other roles in our attack...

Tonali injured in today's friendly

This is what I have been wrried about all summer. If we do not replace Kessie adequately we're going to have serious trouble this season. Our mercato has really been a worrying sign with regards to the new ownership. CDK aside we have not made any other moves of significance this summer, this after losing 2 very good players for free once again. Romagnoli it is understandable why it's not an emergency to replace him but it is critical to replace Kessie at this point. We cannot go into the new season with just Tonali and Bennacer for that double pivot + a rag-tag team of random players who are not good enough to fill that position.

We got lucky this time, but next time it could be a big problem.

We're on August 12th and there are no significant links currently to any player who could realistically be purchased to replace Kessie. All I see are new random names being thrown about every day.

Excited as well. But I am worried that it is Udine on the 1st matchday. They're a huge thorn for us. Plus we have to play Krunic in the double pivot and we're still starting with Diaz and Messias in attack
