Will probably have to miss the first half. Meh, it'll probably be another nightmare of a game anyway...

If we get a scoring draw, I'll believe we are getting out of that ditch we fell into post Juventus.

Outlook doesn't look good though. Abate, De Sciglio, Petagna, Montolivo out. Hope we have no other fitness issues. On the plus side, they're without Gomez. Valero the danger man for me.

Any word on what's wrong with Abate and Monto, I know DS got a nasty tackle on Sunday. But the other 2 are a mystery for me

Don't know about Abate, but Monto is suffering from a "post-traumatic low back pain". Poli is suspended.

Abbiati; Bonera, Rami, Mexes, Emanuelson; De Jong, Muntari; Honda, Kakà, Taarabt; Balotelli

Montolivo had a lower back injury which still shows bruising. Abate, I think it was the thigh.

EDIT: Found it for you. This is dated 18 March.

QUOTE
AC Milan communicates that Stephan El Shaarawy can begin athletic work with a view to resuming full training with the rest of the group in the coming weeks following his final check-up with specialist doctor van Dijk earlier today in Amsterdam.

Bryan Cristante will recommence on a personalised training programme from tomorrow and will soon resume full training with the rest of the group.

During Milan-Parma, Daniele Bonera suffered an adductor muscle injury and will be assessed by the club’s medical staff between Wednesday and Thursday.

Riccardo Montolivo meanwhile suffered a lower back injury during the match with Parma in addition to a facial injury. The club captain will also be assessed between Wednesday and Thursday.

Finally, Ignazio Abate has reported a muscle injury in his right thigh and will be re-assessed in 7 to 10 days’ time.

To be honest, we are looking at a lineup like:

Zaccardo---Rami--Mexes---Urby
-----De Jong--Essien--------
Taraabt---Honda-----Kaka-----
----------Pazzini-----------

What we do know is that the last game, Urby, Taraabt and Balo seemed to have been dropped for either training non-performance or tactical reasons. The rest of the lineup was pretty much forced on us.

EDIT: Poli suspended according to X-Off. So looks like Taraabt will have to start.

Ridiculous suggestion coming up...Seedorf as player manager? He can't be any worse than Essien, and frankly, he's still a top class player who Botafogo basically built themselves around.

Did you already forget Seedorf's dreary last few seasons with us? The Brazilian league is mediocre, everyone can be great there.

I'd take dreary over deathly right now. That's how badly off we are.

Ridiculous indeed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Wouldn't mind see it, just for the heck of it, ha!

No from me. He's out of shape for sure. Any poor performance from him will absolutely doom him as a coach in front of the players. Let's not forget this lot are not gonna be put in line by anyone from the old guard. They actually consider themselves kings of the castle.

Exactly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) While there is the smallest of chances it could go well, the possibility of it blowing are many times over.

Just so I'm clear, the objections you 3 have are based on the idea of something going wrong?

12th placed Milan, without a win in 5 matches, and you're worried our novice of a coach, who can't get f*ck all out of his players now, might make things 'worse' by playing?

Unless you'd failed to notice, we're already in the football equivalent of Satan's bowels. It blowing up further isn't actually possible.

(And he's still way better than Essien)

You should know by now that Impossible is Nothing when it comes to Milan and making things worse.

Seedorf made a public announcement that he has retired. His coming into the team will be a major loss of face to the club. If he himself fails to excel and is merely average then he loses any moral authority to demand anything but average out of his players.

Average is an improvement Jack.

Yes, I am using sarcasm, irony and implausible to make my case, but I think anyone can see the point I am trying to make.
