This summer Emirates Stadium will be host to a pre-season tournament called Emirates Cup, involving Inter, Paris Saint-German, Hamburg and of course Arsenal.
It will be played over two days, each team gaining 3 poits a win, 1 point a draw and 1 point for each goal they score.
Each team will face off only once, and the winner will be awarded the Cup pocal, a rather nice looking trophy.
The basic concept is to bring together some of Europes top teams (so I have NO idea why PSG is involved), and to give the audience some nice football to watch.

Personally, I look forward to see Arsenal play against Inter, but it should be more teams involved, and those teams should be at higher levels.

Maybe next summer we could tempt Milan to join... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

Like the Amsterdam Tournament? Hum, nice.

Milan is probably going to the USA this summer.

Or Hamburg, or even Inter! It's only a pre-season thing they won't attract that many clubs, who wants to come to England for a holiday!

I think that's silly. A point for each goal scored?

To encourage attacking play so the audience will have a good time watching.
And anyway, I don't think the teams care too much whether they win the trophy or not, its good warm-up prior to the start of a new season.

Yea .. They have been establishing a franchise there fore some time now. Milanello (mascot) is a Disney character (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The US is a very good market, especially with the BIG name players that Milan has (R10's signing would be enough to roll in the $$).

If we play LA Galaxy with Beckham on their team we will get enough TV revenue to fund our transfer for Ronaldinho!
