I just peeked at Gazzetta's probable lineup and they're putting Favalli in at LB. Not sure this will happen because Favster's uncle (I think it's an uncle) died yesterday. The uncle (?) was sporting director of Cremonese, a Serie C club.

"Czechs and Turtles" - sounds like something you'd buy at 1-800 Flowers.

Haha, yes. Tennie's up-to-the-minute reports are the best. I've also enjoyed the detailed postings/translations by Porty, though admittedly he doesn't post quite as often. Another reason why we need to get R10, huh? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

Aww, that's sad to hear. May he rest in peace. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Having said that, we do are running thin on preferable options at the back.

I'm quite sure he was playing at CB in Dynamo Kyiv... mishale knows for certain.

Anyway... thanks for the match history.

Yeah for Kyiv he played CB and LB. When he came here Ancelotti experimented and put him DM and LM, but it didnt really work

Um, usually I'm pretty optimistic, but I really don't feel too good about our chances for the fourth place. We'll probably win this match, but every time I take a look at Port's signature I get a sinking feeling: -4 with 15 points to play. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

We're not four points ahead, mind you, and honestly shouldn't expect Fiorentina to drop more than 3 points in the remaining five matches, while we still have to face a club called Inter. Even if we manage the forth place, it will be more down to Fiorentina messing things up rather than us earning it. Last year Ronaldo played a very vital (and maybe underrated) part in our push for the fourth place. This year, it's completely different. How many points we've messed up in all the games this season? I can handily count 22 over the top of my head.

UEFA Cup sounds like a reality, with each passing day. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

so does revolution. Maldinis injury will most likely end the cycle this season if we dont make it to champions leauge. at least it looks like kaka will be staying, cl or not (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm not worried about Kaka... he's young and he knows within 12 months we'll be back in the CL. but Maldini... I'm afraid that home defeat against Arsenal was his last ever CL game (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) the same goes for Pippo and Cafu (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Highlights from Carletto's pre-match press conference:

* Oddo's available to play but isn't at the point where he can play the full 90 minutes (so will probably be a sub)
* Dida got hurt in training the day before Maldini did
* Seedorf is available
* Gattuso has said nothing to him about wanting to leave and Carletto believes Milan has no intention of selling him
* Carletto predicts 20 days out for Il Capitano
* He congratulates Billy on getting his coaching license and wishes him well
* Not talking about a total revolution of the team; Carletto thinks there are 7-8 core players to build around
* Carletto isn't necessarily averse to the return of Abbiati

Call ups not posted yet. Pirlo got a special medal in honor of his 300th appearance for Milan before training, though.

Only 29? I thought he was a bit older than that. He seems to have been around for a while! Anyways, congrats to him. Hopefully he marks it with a trademark Pirlo free-kick!
