QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Apr 21 2009, 05:59 AM) I don't really like Lucio that much. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) So I hope he turns out to be something better, unique. Abate as RB. Really, not convinced about that one. He's a winger pure and through. Yes, maybe he can play as AM from the right (a position we really really require). Anyone notice how we tore Torino a new one, down the right, with Flam and Becks. I've always said our attack is too left-centric (an important difference with Barca imo, with Henry on the left and Messi on the right),and that needs to be remedied. Trouble is all our forward playing offensive players- Kaka, R80, Zee, Pato prefer the left side. Because they're dribblers who cut onto their strong foot. This is another area of the team which is very imbalanced. This post is very true...Absolutely correct......we lack there so bad..And Gattuso really doesn't know how to work down that right side offensively...Abate will be of good help

I surely hope he's not like Lucio, his game was not like Lucio's in the two friendlies I saw him play. Abate has not convinced me. I don't think he can be a starter for Milan and I don't see the point in bringing him in to rot on the bench especially when he's a winger and we don't even have a starter winger. We don't play that way (with wingers) and I'm glad cause I like neither the system nor the wingers, I think they're too one-dimensional.

Hmm... again? It could be recycled or it could be fresh... I have never seen the guy play anyway.

We got rid of Emerson to bring in more mediocrity in Obi? I personally think that this guy is nothing more than an average player. It's not a coincidence that Chelsea have been a million times better since Essien returned...

QUOTE (KakaIlCapitano @ Apr 21 2009, 09:34 PM) or when Hidink comes? I believe it's more down to Essien, he's fundamental to their game. Sure Hiddink helped but the change in their game would not be so drastic had Essien not returned. Anyway... Obi is good as a sub but why would he leave Chelsea's bench for another bench. If he's going to go I believe he'll choose a club he'd be a starter at.

I think he will be very good for rest Rino who will be 32 is some stage of the league so he will need rest and i think Obi is a great player to rotate it with the rest of the lads!

But we already got Ambro, Rino and Flamini. I think it's better that we don't get another DMF and give some time to Cardacio or another youngster.

Problem is, in the past few years Rino and Ambro had many injuries. I think we should get an extra DM, but only as a bonus, meaning after we shop for a new CB and a FC,..

That's why I'm saying we don't need Obi, we have other priorities which we absolutely MUST resolve! I believe in Cardacio though, he can be the fourth man. Besides, we have often played with only one DMF this season.

We don't need a pure DMF. Obi would be a very expensive sub.
Rino's playing well. Ambro's also been good, though he's not as fast off the blocks as Rino when coming off an injury. Flamini in the last 5 games has really really improved. (He's 10 times the player he was in the beginning of the season).
I don't think we'll need a DMF for another year or so (esp with Becks always ready to make a guest appearance, as a holding+creative mid). So let's cross the bridge when we get to it.
Who knows what will happen in the next 2 seasons, Roma might be in financial trouble, and then 1 will get you 2, we might be able to land DDR.
Pana is *shudder* right (*spit* *spit*). First the CB, then the target man, then the right sided attacking MF, then the left fullback. After that, we'll think of a DMF.
