QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 29 2022, 01:22 AM) Really hope we get these both done ASAP With the ownership changing hands and most reports saying that next week could possibly be when the contracts are signed, we'll see if things start to go quick once all that is done. Good news also coming re Paolo's contract. But again, this all depends on the sale going through this week. Nothing will happen while the club sits in limbo. Really wish this whole sale thing happened earlier. If things get delayed is could be a summer wasted here

QUOTE (X-Offender @ May 29 2022, 04:28 PM) If we could get Botman, Renato, Lang, Origi and another CF/RW, we'd have elevated the quality of our roster substantially. Here's to hoping. We'll see. Renato is the only one that really excites me on that list. Botman I don't know much about, but for the same money Inter are getting Bremer, and I personally think he'd be a better option. With Lang, he looks good on youtube, that's all I can really say Origi will be a good addition, he's played in a top side and contributed massively in important moments for them. He's used to playing a high pressing game and is at the right age. What worries me is the rumours of Rebic leaving. He's such a good option to have, whether as Leao's sub or as a striker. Plus I just love him, even if at times he makes the strangest decision's on the pitch or looks like he's never played football. He's still one of my favorite players on the team, it will be sad to see him go, but it will also mean that we'll have to replace him. The potential outgoing list is going to be big as well, so we have to factor that in as well Out Ballo-Toure - Likely Kessie - Confirmed Florenzi - Purchase not yet confirmed - Will most likely stay Messias - Likely Samu - Likely Rebic - Likely Zlatan - Still no word on what he will do Bakayoko - Likely In Botman - Likely Sanches - Likely Noa Lang - Likely Pobega - Back from loan Adli - Back from loan Origi - Likely Florenzi will most likely stay, but until he is confirmed I consider him as an out. With Kessie leaving and most likely switching to a 4-3-3, I think the midfield still needs an extra player, preferably a defensive midfielder or someone with similar characteristics to Kessie. And with Rebic, Samu and Messias all probably leaving, the attack still needs work. We'll need another winger for sure imo

Looks like there's been a positive dialogue between Cardinale and Maldini, he should renew.
With that out of the way, we'll need to focus on the mercato.
Botman Renato Sanches Zaniolo Lang De Ketelaere Origi
These are the names we've been heavily linked with. Origi and Sanches seem the closest to signing. Botman also if all goes well.
Lang today said that there's a concrete interest of Milan, but there's no agreement. He also said that with 25m Brugge would sell him.
De Ketelaere seems to be Maldini's preferred choice, but he costs more. And there's a concrete interest in Zaniolo, as reported by Gazzetta and other sources.
I think, we want to make 5 important signings. One will be free (Origi), one will be mainly financed by Hauge's sale (Sanches), the rest will be financed by the new ownership. One CB (Botman) one AM (Lang/De Ketelaere) and one RW (Zaniolo/De Ketelaere). Obviously other names might pop up in the coming weeks.

QUOTE (CrazyMilanFan @ Jun 2 2022, 08:41 AM) Is Zaniolo worth the risk considering so early career knee situation?
He is not gonna be cheap as well. We offered saelemaekers plus 25 million apparently which was immediately rejected. That offer never happened. But there is interest in Zaniolo. I don't know, I was a big fan a couple of years ago, but this season he didn't particularly impress me. Not to mention his numbers, 2 goals and 5 assists for an attacker, those are Brahim Diaz numbers. As for his knee, this season he was injury free from that aspect. He only missed 4 games in total due to injury, and it was all muscular. Honestly, I'd rather focus elsewhere.

For me the new ownership's seal of approval will come only when Paolo renews. When the shady Chinese were in he steered clear. So as long as he renews (which is looking highly likely atm) then I am at ease about our future QUOTE (X-Offender @ Jun 1 2022, 03:24 PM) Looks like there's been a positive dialogue between Cardinale and Maldini, he should renew.

Di Marzio saying we're looking at Bremer as well, and we've cooled things down a bit for Botman. For the same money (which is what's being said) I'd take Bremer every day of the week. A back line of Theo, Tomori, Bremer, Kalulu would not only make us pretty much nailed in for the Scudetto next season but that's a back line that's more than good enough for the CL as well. It has all the attributes you'd want in a back 4, capable of playing a high line due to their athleticism and speed. Plus we'd be taking Bremer away from Inter which would be huge. Renato for me should be closed ASAP. We don't want to dilly about and let other clubs come sniffing. Zaniolo, we should not touch with a 10ft. pole imo. Re Lang, I've been seeing some negative stuff about his attitude. Plus reading his interview, he acts like a Zlatan or Ronaldo but with none of the stats and silverware to back it up. He's put me off for sure De Ketelaere on the other hand seems exactly like the type of player we'd be more interested in. Very talented, works hard, dedicated. We know we look at attitude as well as performance when scouting these players so I could easily see us going for him rather than Lang We also need to be looking into getting a vice Theo. FBT is clearly no good enough. There are players in Serie A like Hickey who come with great upside plus decent Serie A experience.

Kalulu assisting today with the France U-21s
With a CB coming in for big money this summer. We need to seriously consider shifting Kalulu to RB
Calabria has been a great servant to the club, and he's one of my favourite players. But he's never going to get to the level needed for CL imo. He's a good Serie A RB, one of the top 5 imo. But Kalulu has so much more to offer imo.

With Gabbia and Caldara gone on loan (or is Gabbia staying? Not sure), Romagnioli also left. Id say promote Kalulu as CB/RB, versatility is handy here and he proved his weight in gold last season. Plus Milan have Florenzi for RB. For CB Tomori Kjaer and Kalulu are solid, maybe bring in someone to sit on the bench. The Botman saga, though I am saddened Milan didnt get him, I am equally happy so Kalulu can grow more with the team and get some European experience next season. Kjaer is solid and so is Tomori. With the defense sorted out like that, and just a fodder player needed. The weight of the budget should go to the RW, could it be the CDK might not come? Yes it could, and could it be a bad transfer window? I highly doubt it. With nee ownership, there has to be a statement signing. Hence I am calm here. For midfield, as much as I appreciated Sanchez?s performance in the last Euros, and for which he would serve Milan?s playing style very well. I believe both Bennacer and Krunic are good. Add to that Adli, who will most likely challenge for a place. P.S. I see a lot of negativity surrounding Milan?s transfer activity, but I full in trust in Maldini to get the job done. News and rumors from left/right/center, but Milan do not comment. They just leave it be and work behind curtains till the job is done.
