Very interesting and thoughtful analysis. Frightening the amount of money that Moratti's pumped into the club.

(One wonders how much more got sidelined to telecom italia, the referees, etc).

It was a bit difficult to read due to the changing fonts though.

Excellent read... Though I do wonder if Inter is such a special case? Many of the things said in the article apply to us as well, and most of the other european giants (Barca, Madrid, Man U, etc).

Exactly. I think the biggest problem is the fact that in England and Spain (especially in Spain) The big teams earn ridiculous money for TV rights. Especially Barca and Madrid. Also they have more marketing power then Inter and Milan. The fact that the Serie A has slipped down the rankings so much doesn't help either club's cause in that respect.

Nowadays I see SO many Barca jerseys out here. Very rarely do I see Inter jerseys (though I did see one last week on the subway).

I do think Inter is the exception to the rule in terms of what han and Linkman mentioned, but they did get their fair share of headlines on ESPN.com during the course of last season. They definitely received a bit more exposure in the States because of that.

So does the price of inter's success includes the cost of the flare that they hurled towards Dida? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
